FRUSTRATED

Hello everyone!

I have been having problems connecting to my friends' xbox live parties, and I have no idea why.

- first, when I join someones party they say I do not have a mic.

- Second, If they join my party it shows they do not have a mic.

-Third, I play NHL 15, and I can not find a game to save the life of me. I also can not join someone's game if I am invited and vice versa.

-Fourth, I have reset my router; opened ports; changed the NAT to open and nothing has worked

Any more ideas I could try? It worked for a few days off and on but it has stopped the past couple!

Frustrated...

Doesn't the game give a little indicator that it's updating your challenges? I just quit and saved whenever I saw it updating my challenges and it's worked so far.

And tonight, the level glitched at the point where the Mammoth gets disabled. The Covenant vessel never appeared and thus I could never go up to it to destroy it. Had to start over AGAIN. UGH.UGH. But the Lone Wolf achievement is finally done.

 

Have you tried to
Powercycle your xbox ? You can do this by holding down the power button on your console for approx. 10 seconds

Also when you port forwarded did you make sure you created a static IP on your Xbox One ? if you didn't the DHCP will assign a new IP depending on which ones are used already. So if you have created a static IP on your xbox and port forwarded on your router
make sure to add a DHCP reservation using the IP adress and the MAC adress of your Xbox One on your router .

I would like to add that as with any device based on a Windows operating system, it is best to shut it down or restart it normally in order for it to properly put the environment in a saved state. With Windows if you hard reset the computer too often, it
can develop issues. I am thinking that the same thing is true with this console. I have seen posts here about people always doing a hard reset when they have an issue. It seems their problems continue or they develop more.

You can change your power settings to shut down when you are done using, or if you need to restart properly, there is a manual restart option in the same menu in 'Settings'. If you actually let it go through the shutdown procedure, then the startup, it is
putting the system in a saved state, and then starts it fresh.

I am just making this suggestion because I go through the full cycle every day and have very few issues with the console, apps, or matchmaking.
