    Frustrated with fixing an Xbox One Elite Controller.


    I have to admit I'm pretty irritated with the support I'm getting around my Elite controller. (Case SR1376762670 for anyone who can look these things up.)

    Let me first say I'm a huge fan of the product. I've pitched it to every one of my friends as a massive upgrade to their game play, but after a year or so of use the left bumper on mine has broken, and while I'm certainly capable of fixing it myself, I wanted
    to make sure that it was done properly and attempted to get MS to make the repair. A repair by the way I was fully willing to pay for.

    I tried online support, they sent me to the local MS store. The store in turn sent me BACK to online support.

    The primary feedback I'm being given is that I can have a 3rd party repair it for me, or I can buy another controller.

    It's completely unacceptable to me that I can't request a repair direct from the actual manufacturer, or that I'm being asked to "buy another controller". This is a product that's 50% the cost of the console itself. In my opinion (this defect not withstanding) it's
    one of the best products on the market. I think this is a huge oversight in customer service and engineering.

    If you're going to make elite products then either you need to FULLY support their maintenance and repair as a manufacturer OR you need to engineer for self service.

    As a 10 year plus member of LIVE!, an owner of every xbox made, I'm not at all satisfied with this level of support. I'd like to see an ambassador reach out to me for a better solution.

    Xbox One S - a few steps forward but many backward (vs Xbox Elite)

    Xbox one s IS compatible with Xbox one elite controller so if you don't like the Xbox one s then use the elite controller.

    My Xbox One X will not scroll down in dashboard menus.

    This only happens when I use the Microsoft Elite 2 controller.

    And if I turn on another Xbox controller at the same time it does the same thing.

    However if I reboot with the Xbox One X controller it works fine.

    My controllers work fine in game menus etc.

    I really thinks it the Xbox one X.

    I already reset the Xbox and that didn’t fix it.

    I’m so frustrated right now.

    Xbox Elite 2 Controller has multi-directional stick drift on right thumbstick

    As far as I'm aware, there's no update fix when it comes to stick drift, so if your controller is currently under warranty with either Xbox or the store you purchased it from, I'd suggest getting started on the refund/replacement process if at all possible.

    It always sucks when it happens to any controller, when it happens to a new controller, and an Elite at all, it's extra frustrating. Fingers crossed you can get it replaced with one that works correctly.
