Frozen Xbox One Dashboard

Hi there,

I'm having this here, because I am completly stuck at this, because my xbox one screen has frozen and it has been like that for 2 hours now. Which is very annoying for me, since I can't do anything. As in I can't play a game disk, I can't get to the main
Dashboard. i have done everything I think possible I can do. So please can you help me sort this out.

Also sometimes it has also done this today.

Also it is an Xbox one that I am on if you couldn't tell. I am also based in the UK as well.

Blu-ray live crashes and cannot start a movie! (Despicable me 2)

Does the dashboard freeze up as well? My first xbox one did not work with blu ray, skipped and glitched out, dashboard froze. Uninstalled app as per microsoft dashboard was fine xbox worked, reinstalled app, froze and poor blu ray playback. They sent new
one has not been an issue with the few blu rays I have watched so far fingers crossed.

halo reach xbox 360 slim freezes

espn app froze today first time, call of duty waw der riese froze, dashboard froze once. this sucks. i have 12 xbox 360s. 7 unopened limited edtitions. i currently have 4 slims running at once and a fifth elite. halo is the only one that freezes.
i dont think its **** the bed. i think its a design flaw to this one xbox. any thoughts?

Hello Annie! I am so sorry to hear you're having this issue, freezes can be quite frustrating. Let me first ask, have you hard-power-cycled your console? To do this, you will hold the white Power Sensor on the front of the console for 8-10 seconds, then
wait for the light on the power supply to turn solid orange. THEN, unplug your console for 5-10 minutes, plug it back in, and start back up. You should be back up and running when you try this!

No problem at all, I'm glad it helped! Just remember, ANY time you run into an issue, one of the first things to try is this "hard reset" or "power cycle" option. For some weird reason, it fixes a LOT of issues (network problems, games misbehaving, etc.!)

i had to remove the power source and reboot it... it seems to have worked. but i would still like to know what caused this in the first place.
