    Hello,

    in the past few weeks I've had to do a hard reboot lately on games stuck at the loading screen (Forza Horizon 2, Battlefield) works fine after the reboot. Is this a possible hardware problem? This is my 2nd Xbox One (had the bad disc
    player problem) purchased the extended warranty on is when I returned it to the Microsoft store for the replacement console.

    xbox one keeps freezeing on the home screen

    got it on Christmas, updates downloaded ok, ac unity only downloaded 30%, I played it until it stopped and went to the home screen and it froze, I did a hard re-start and it was ok for a couple hours, but when I exited call of duty to the home screen it
    froze on the home screen, did hard re-start again, seems ok. will it keep freezing up periodically?

    Issue with Startup

    Since roughly 4 pm today, I have been unable to sign in or mostly interact with my Xbox's interface. I will start up the console from a hard reboot, and it will go through the regular loading screen. It will then attempt to actually load the Home screen.
    This is where the issue starts. Generally, I receive a black screen, or become frozen on the "signing in" display. Sometimes, if I wait long enough, I can load the Xbox side menu, or the interface received when holding the power button on your controller.
    And sometimes it will display a message saying " Please try again. For some reason Home took too long to start. (0x8027025a)" minus the quotation marks, of course. This has persisted until 10:15, after several hard reboots and waiting several hours with inactivity.
    I don't know what to do.

    Black screen

    Did you do a hard reboot by holding down the power button for a few seconds? You'll know that it was a hard reboot because it'll start with the green startup screen.

    Can you connect a different device onto the HDMI cord your Xbox is connected to, just to check it's not a cable issue?

    If the other device works on the cable, try hard resetting your Xbox One by holding the power button on the right of the console for about 15 seconds. Then unplug the power cord for about 30 seconds, and plug it back in.

    Then start up your console. Does it now show a proper picture?

    I turned my rebooted the system because I thought it was frozen and now all I get is a black screen. My tv recognizes the xbox but it just goes straight to a blank screen and then nothing. Is there any way to reset it???

    I also tried installing the game to my hard drive but unfortunately it didn't make a difference. The game shows in my recently played games because I can get to that title screen every time. It's not frozen (because the animations and music are still going)
    but pressing start just doesn't do anything...

    What do you mean you replaced the hard drive?

    Where are your games installed? On the internal drive or an external USB drive?

    When you say "hard reboot", how exactly did you do the hard reboot?

    When the games close to the home screen, does the game at least start to the main menu (where you can press A or any other button to continue), or do you simply get the game's splash screen, and you immediately get thrown to the dashboard?

    Is the game you're trying to play a disc based game or a digital download game?
