Frostpunk PC only game bought through Xbox.

Today I bought a game called Frostpunk through the Xbox store. The game does not install show as a pre order or show in my bought games.

You cannot search for this game you can only come across it by going The Long Dark > Official Club > View in Microsoft Store scroll down to the “people also liked” recommendations it is the 4th game along that list.

Upon investigating further this is a PC only game and as far as I am aware the Xbox does not let you buy PC only games.

I have requested a refund and logged a fault but i found the problem to be so bizarre that I made several twitter posts to support and though i’d post here.

Has anyone ever encountered this type of problem before?

I have found another game using this same method called Rise of Nations a strategy game for PC.

What is going on?

Definately has to be a bug. If you look at compatability it says PC only.

I’ve reported it via the Report a Problem function.

Luckily you can only come across it doing the above steps.

I’m still £25 out of pocket until they respond to my refund request.

Interesting. I followed the path that you used to find it and it is coming up in the Xbox One store. It's definitely for the PC. Maybe it's a bug?

This is what I’m saying. I came across this game today on my Xbox console and bought it.

It does not come up in a search only through the above mentioned steps.

PC games should not show up on the Xbox Store on the console. Are you saying you saw it there and it let you purchase said game?

While the Xbox Store on the console accesses a website type interface, it should block out none Xbox games.

FrostPunk is PC only at the moment. The console versions are scheduled for 'Late 2019' release.
