Friends TAB is missing...

What's up guys, for some reason my friends tab has dissapeared on Xbox One.

It was there earlier on today, and has been ever since I got my Xbox one 2-3weeks ago... I had an update in my queue but it was names "Installation Stopped" I cancelled the queued update because it wasn't doing a *** thing.

Now my tab is no longer there. I used to have "Pins, home, friends and Store"

Now I only have "Pins, home, store"

Any help on fixing this?

Dashboard Friends Tab Not there

Ive recently done the august and September updates for my xbone but when im on the dashboard there is no friends tab. I have watched videos and this seems to be missing on my system is it because im in the uk or am I missing something your help would be appreciated .

Friends Tab

I'm not a part of this "preview program" some peps are talking about. I saw on Xbox's YouTube a video saying the September Update is already out! I logged on my Xbox 1 since it's Friday evening for me, and their was a Console Update. Just finished it, but
I don't see the extra Friends pane on the main Dashboard Screen. It's just Pins, Home, and Store. Media Player works well viewed pics from my USB yay Xbox 1 is doing more.... things which Xbox 360 can do.

I recommend running that update to see if the issue persists. To manually run the update follow the steps below.

• Press the menu button on your Xbox One controller and select 'Settings'.
  
• In the Settings menu, select 'System'.
• In the System menu, you should see a option to run the update on the left side of the screen.

i have this same problem, it was there yesterday but today when i turned on my xbox it is no longer there ive tried your solution mister beep but no luck, does anyone else have any idea

Sorry to hear that didn't help, next let's try the steps below to power cycle the Xbox One console.

• Press and hold the power button on the Xbox One console for 10 seconds.
  
• Once the unit is powered off, unplug the power cable from the Xbox One and let it sit for 5 minutes.
  
• Plug the power back into the unit and power the console on.

Let us know if that shows the Friends tab!

 

Usually the friends tab can be brought back by just refreshing the dashboard by holding both triggers and pressing Y. Sometimes when there are issues with the xbl services it seems that the tab is not displayed at start up of the console.

 

I had this same issue just tried bobmcfly247's solution and it worked first time, the friends tab is back. Thanks dude for that.

Bob my brother keeps having an issue where his Xbox keeps freezing even though when he comes out of an app or a game he menu clicks and quits the app before opening something else, he got his Xbox on Black Friday and only has two or games installed. He has
to keep having to hard reset it.

Do you think it could be a hardware issue or do you think it's something else? He thinks he is up to date in his os, so I don't think it's that. I think it could be user error but not sure.

Any help would be appreciated cheers in advance.
