Friends online notifications not popping up

It still doesn't work, but don't worry once they fix it they'll break about 5 other things! This system is such garbage!

 

OS needs optimization too. its always slow, specially using the snap feature

 

Hi, I am in the UK and purchased my Xbox one 2 weeks ago. Switched on all notifications and was working fine for a few days and now I do not receive any notifications of users coming online. Nice to see others are having the same problem as I thought it
was something I had done.

You can say that again! The OS is absolutely terrible! It's not only slow but it's flaky and decides to just not work sometimes. I've already swapped my xbox one out with a new one and it's still terrible. Want it even more flaky? Put it in standby
mode. If it's one thing this pile of junk needs it's a full reboot every time.

 

Yeh me and my friends not getting notifications when favourites come online useing android xbox smartglass, beem a few weeks now.

 

Just add to ths. Been nearly 2 weeks with this issue, no notifications on xbox one dashboard and no notifications on iOS smartglass.

This issue seems to be ignored, there is no real attempts or at least notice that this issued is recognised bpt microsoft and they are working on it.

2 weeks without notifications on smartglass is ok, not too bothered. But on the actual console is unnacceptable.

People on my friends list also ghve this issue.

 

Sounds like the dev team is in Xmas mode, meaning work is happening at a snail's pace. almost a million consoles have been bought from Black Friday and I'm sure there is going to be plenty more during the holidays meaning lots of Xbox's will be turned on
this month. I'm hoping MS is on top of this and making sure everything is working and running smoothly. The last thing you want is a flaky console when you first turn it on.

 

Just wanted to add another name that is having this problem. Feels like the friends list isn't up to date either. It'll say someone is online on the main dashboard and open app and they have been offline for long time.

 

Also not getting notifications when friends sign in.

 

I have been having this problem for over a week. No favorite friends notifications on xbox one or smartglass. When I found out a friend was having the same issue I headed to the forums.

On I side note I also unlocked 2 Master Chief Collection achievements while playing Destiny last night....something is not right

 

this needs to be fixed! its really starting to get frustrating.

 

Got this issue too, would it be helpful to provide feedback logs when it happens, if I happen to notice when a favorite hops online?
