Friends not joinable

Dear All,

I have a problem that I can't join friends via the Xbox (and xbox beta) app. It takes long that they will get the "online" status in my friendlist, but on their info page they are stated "offline".

Things I tried:

- Disable firewall

- added the windows app in allowed apps in windows firewall for incoming and oudgoing connections

- put my ip in the DMZ in my router

- Put all possible ports in my router (port forwarding udp/tcp)

- Disable UPNP in my router (and enabled it again)

In the connections tab from my settings everything looks fine (Nat Open, all services connected)

Please help!

Can't play GoW3 online!

try pressing select on your controller and changing your party options to "Joinable public" or "Joinable Friends"

Issues connecting to friends

Anyone experiencing this right now? I try to join friends then it says un-joinable.

Thank you for bringing this up. For us to better assist you, we need to identify first as to why your friends keep showing as "Online" in the Xbox app on your computer. Can you check if the issue persists online through Xbox.com? This will help us to validate
if the issue has something to do with your account or not.

In the meantime, I suggest that you reconnect your Xbox account on the Xbox app by resetting the Xbox settings first. To do that, kindly perform the following steps below:

Press the Windows key on your keyboard, and then click Settings.

Select System, and then select Apps & features.

Find the Xbox app, and then click on Advanced options.

Click Reset.

Keep us updated with the results after performing the suggested solutions above.

I don't know how to forward ports? I'm just clicking on the joinable friends option.

In the Xbox app on your phone, you can manage your friend's list and delete this person and also remove the suggestion in ''suggested friends''.

Hi there. Make sure that your friend is on the same update as you. Also if your friend is part of the beta he will not be able to play with anyone other than other beta users or if you are on beta and they are not same situation. If these are not the issue
try reinstalling the game. If this fails if you are on xbox try remoing your account and readding it. Or clear cahce data by holding the power button in for 15 seconds or until it powers down wait 30 seconds power back on. If this fails try doing a soft reset
by choosing to keep games and apps. If these all fail ask your friend to do the same and see if it was on his end. If none of these help sadly I am out of ideas. Hope one of these helps and hope you are all safe and well in these hard times.
