Friends list won’t refresh or update

Please try the following steps one at a time to resolve the issue:



Solution 1: Do a power cycle to clear the cache of the console



1. Turn off the Xbox console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down completely.

2. Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 10 seconds.

Important Be sure to wait 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply.

3. Plug the console power cable back in.

4, Press the Xbox button on your console to turn on the Xbox console.

Solution 2: Try to remove and re-add your profile.

Select System > Settings > Account > Remove accounts.

Select the account that you want to remove, and then select Remove to confirm.

When you're finished, select Close. Power off console for 1min. Power on console then click Gamertag pic

Select >Add New>

Enter the email address for the Microsoft account that you want to add.



Solution 3: Kindly check if there is a pending system update for your console.

Make sure your console is connected to the internet, and then press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select System > Settings.

Select System > Updates & downloads.

Under "Updates", you'll see: Console update available. Select this button to begin your update,

Solution 4: Do a factory reset.

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

2. Select System > Settings > System > Console info.

3. Select Reset console.

4. Reset and keep my games & apps.

for the past several weeks my friends list won't update from 194 friends online. I've tried a refresh and hard reset. NOTHING WORKS

I am having the same issues. ):

Won’t load my messages.

‘Live updates are unavailable, pull down to refresh’

I pull down and nothing happens

All my friends names say ‘loading...’

Then it freezes.

Is it possible that there is an update to your Xbox One console as well as the Xbox App on iOS and Windows Phone? Are you using the Xbox App or a BETA version of the app? When you say you did a hard reset of the console, did you mean a power cycle, or reset
the console to factory defaults while keeping your games and apps?
