FRIENDS LIST TAB IS NOT UPDATING FOR MANY PEOPLE

I POSTED AND MANY ARE HAVING THIS PROBLEM. FOR EXAMPLE THE LIST SAYS A FRIEND IS DOING 1 THING, YOU CLICK ON THEIR NAME AND IT SAYS SOMETHING ELSE, EVEN OFFLINE, WHEN THE STAR IS GREEN AS IF THEY ARE ON. ALSO THE TOTAL NUMBER OF FRIENDS IS NOT UPDATING
REGULARLY.

Adding Friends to New Account

The tally at the top of the screen is a count of how many friends are online, not of how many friends are on an account.

On the dashboard you should see a tab at the top of the screen labelled "Social". Under that tab you will see an area for friends where you can see who is on your list.

How many friends will we be able to have on our Xbox Live friends list on the Xbox One?

How many friends will we be able to have on our Xbox Live friends list on the Xbox One? Cause I would like 150-200 friends on my friends list I always got a full friends list so I always gotta delete and add new people I rather just keep all of them and
yes I do play with all of my 100 friends or talk to them cause I play so many Xbox titles ill play Halo with so many people GTA 4 with so many people Forza 4 with so many people and even COD with so many people and so on.

This happens every once in a while. Sometimes logging out and back in fixes it, but often it's caused by an Xbox Live service issue, so you end up seeing a cached version of your friends list that's showing out of date info because the console is unable
to pull in current info until the issue is fixed.

I know that's not a lot of help, but all you can do is report it if rebooting your console and logging out/in doesn't fix it.

This is happening to me too, but only for certain friends I have on my list, they appear as "offline", but I check another friend's list who has these people added and they appear as online. I rung Microsoft earlier and the guy who I spoke to told me that
it's a problem reported by many other people aswell, he sent my GT off to technical support for them to take a look at it, suppose we just have to wait for it to be fixed.

If you press the guide button on your Xbox controller and select Friends to bring up your Friends list, you can tab over using the bumpers to the Recent Players list. It should be populated with all recent players regardless of their online status. Not
sure if there is a time limit to which they start to disappear, if at all, but I've seen players listed from games I hadn't played in weeks

^ None of the people on my friend's list do any of those things. So that definitely does not explain it. At least not for a lot of people, though it may explain it for some.
