Friends List not working properly

Okay, so before I say anything about my issue, I want to note that I have re-downloaded my profile and cleared my system cache in an attempt to fix this problem but it didn't.

I have two issues. The first being that when I am using youtube, my friends list doesn't update. It updates once I go to the dashboard. For example, if I had 7 friends online when I start youtube, it will only display that those 7 friends are online even
if they get offline or more friends get online. It'll stay that number until I return to the dashboard. I bring this tiny issue up because I think its related to the other error with my friends list.

My friends list will sometimes auto delete someone (extremely rare). I know this because my friends list and the person who was deleted doesn't match. On their friends list, it doesn't show that I am there. On my friends list, it shows that they are there.
If I try to remove them, it says process can't be completed. The simple fix to this is just having the other person send you a FR.

I'm posting this thread so I can see if there is a way to prevent this from happening again as it is rather annoying and sometimes unfixable. I removed someone on my Friends list and it hasn't registered that I did with their friends list so I still get
notifications when they get online and such.

Does this happen consistently or only on occasion? It sounds like you're just getting a delayed update on what your friend is doing, which may be connected to your network connection. If you check from the Xbox app, is there any change?

when I got on my Xbox is says my one of my friends are playing Titanfall 2. But when I look at there actually full account it says that they are offline. And same situation but different variables for the other people. So it's basically showing false nfo.
Please help as this is very frustrating. I have hard reset the Xbox and it is still the same.

"Look around" to see if anyone else is experiencing the problems.

"Removed You" from there Friends-List Without your Knowledge. Maybe they Accidentally deleted you without knowing. It`s known to happen. It won't be the first time and i'm sure it won't be the last.

If I try to remove them, it says process can't be completed.
You can always Add Or Remove Xbox Live Friends
From Here You will then be able to access your friends-list and check out the following.

Pending RequestsOnline (56)Offline
(75)Players You Met

Note gamer-tags are also tied to services like Zune or games for windows live. If a gt doesn't exist on Xbox, it might be in use on one of those services. If you try sending the gamer-tag you want a friend request and it says it’s
not a valid gamer-tag that just means it isn't used on Xbox live, but it could be used for Zune or gfwl. I thought this Information would help you understand PlatCakes, Good luck,

 

Thanks for answering Prince Darkness, but I'm not being removed by them. They will message me asking why I removed them saying that I don't appear on their friends list. However, they will appear on my friends list. Its some display error.

 

Hello, this is PlatCakes. I hopped on another account to show you my exact problem. When searching PlatCakes and looking at my friends list

https://live.xbox.com/en-US/Friends?gamertag=PlatCakes , you will notice that "SweetDaddySines" isn't there. However, when you search SweetDaddySines and look at his friends list

https://live.xbox.com/en-US/Friends?gamertag=SweetDaddySines , PlatCakes will be on there.

How is this possible?

 

Is this a unique problem with no fixes for it?

 

yeah xbox 1 friends list doesnt work at all right now and they arnt doing *** to fixx it i cant even find somewere to *** about it cause xbox idea of customer support is to hide untill they find you and offer you free *** if you buy something i *** hate
them when it comes to this ***

It's all good, it's just a glitch in the system, so just wait until tomorrow and double check your system. Xbox.com is still trying to fix this issue, and you can check the updates by reading the services alert on this following web page:

support.xbox.com/.../xbox-live-status

Just hope that the system will be fixed for tomorrow, but if not, you can continue to play your games, but you might need assistance from your friends via skype/phone (or whatever kind of calling system you use to contact your local friend) to notify who
on your friend's list is online or offline.
