Friends list not updating

having a problem with friends list updating it is showing my list from a week ago and not updating. Tried everything I can think of I unplugged the console rebooted my router. Signed out of my profile and back in and still not working.

Got the same problem, it has not been working correctly lately. its really annoying when you want to group up and play

Friend list not updating

Since last update, my friendlist does not update in real time. It stays to the state at start up and that's all.

I'm not the only one to have this bug.

Is there a patch incoming to resolve this issue?

I feel you! I'm so glad I'm not the only one. I had this issue about for 3 months or so.

I tried:

1. Restarting Xbox (from controller, w/ Instant-on)

2. Complete Shutdown (holding the Power/Xbox button on the console)

3. Signing into profile on Xbox 360 or using SmartGlass app (either for 360 or Xbox One). Then sign out/in on Xbox One. (temporarily works - for that day/moment)

4. Delete profile from Xbox (One), redownload or power off/on then redownload profile

5. Tried using Ethernet cable

6. Went back to wireless (gateway is on top shelf of TV Stand & Xbox One is on the 2nd shelf)

7. Contact Xbox Support via Twitter

8. Did a factory reset

9. Download profile again

10. Worked for a couple of days/a week then started back

11. Did the factory reset again

12. Plus unplug gateway's power cord, wait 2 mins plugged back in

13. Set up Xbox again

14. Next day the same issue

15. Rep wanted to know if I had another profile to see if the same thing happens; which I don't, only 1

16. Next rep, said I should speak to Phone Support, they might have more options

17. Declined, support is support when it comes to Technical issues.

Any other suggestions are welcomed.

It takes about 96 hours for the program to recognize any changes with your account.

Thank you for confirming. It looks like our best option here is to perform a factory reset.
Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.
Select Reset console.
On the Reset your console? Please choose “Reset and keep my games & apps”

Hi Matthew! Sorry to hear about what happened. Let's do our best here to sort it out.

What exactly is your Xbox console model?
May I also know when was the last time your notifications worked normally?

To further isolate the issue, please try to sign in or add a different Xbox profile to your console and try to use it if its notifications work fine or not.
