    Friends list deleted


    I was just about to play Black Ops 2 when it needed an update. I updated but to no surprise the Xbox decided to delete the account (for the second time) so I started to panic. I fixed the account issue and fixed everything besides one little thing. My friends
    list has been completely wiped. I tried to add a friend back but it says:

    "Can't complete this process. Please try again. For more info, visit
    www.xbox.com/support."

    I messaged my friend on Skype and he can invite me to parties, I can join them fine but I just can't seem to add them. This is a really bad issue considering I enjoy playing with my friends and not being able to invite them to parties or to even see what they're
    up to is a major setback. My Xbox has been playing up lately because of the account issue I mentioned earlier so that could be something... But Xbox is really being annoying lately, they're *** me over majorly.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I'm sorry to hear you are experiencing some issues with your friends list.

    Many gamers have reported not being able to see their friends list across multiple Xbox platforms such as PC, Console, Mobile Xbox app, and Xbox's website. However, If you press the Xbox button and go to Profile & System > press "A" on your profile > "My profile", your friends count should still display the exact number of friends you have, this means that your friends were not deleted from your list, they are just not displaying correctly. You can also see this at: https://account.xbox.com/Profile

    These are some things you could try to get your friends to display again:

    • Power Cycle

    - Press and hold the Xbox button on your console for 10 seconds, until it shuts down.

    - Unplug the power cord from your console for 3 minutes (If you have the original Xbox One, unplug the power supply from both the Xbox and the outlet).

    - Plug everything back together and turn your console on.

    • Check for pending Xbox system updates.

    - You can do this at Settings > System > Updates.

    • DNS settings

    - Go to Settings > General > Network settings > Advanced settings > DNS settings > Manual > and set the Primary DNS to 8.8.8.8 and the secondary DNS to 8.8.4.4.

    - Restart your console.

    • Try connecting your console to a different network.
