Friends Cannot Join My Minecraft Worlds

I have seen this being an issue elsewhere, but none of the solutions work. My friends always receive "Unable to connect to world" whenever they attempt to join me. My world also does not show up via "LAN" connections either. I am, however, able to join my friends.

Here is what I've tried in my pursuit to fix this, but none of these solutions work:

- Both NAT types are "Open"

- All Xbox and Microsoft account settings are set to "allow" or "everyone"

- Hosted the world from another xbox console via my account

- All Minecraft multiplayer settings are enabled

- Everyone has Xbox Live Gold

- Changed IP from "manual" to "automatic"

- Factory reset my Xbox Series X

- Left my Xbox Live Family to ensure that settings there were not preventing me

- Tried wireless and wired connections.

I have activated all these settings and my child’s profile still cannot add friends on minecraft. I can join his world but he cannot join my world. He shows 1 friend on the friends tab but it doesn’t show any joinable friends or my world inside the friends
tab. I have even changed all settings to allow everything (defeats the purpose) and I still cannot add friends on his account. Please help!!!!!!

So... it appears you're having problems connecting to your friends worlds in Minecraft for Windows 10.

I would have them check their in-game settings in Minecraft under the main menu there, and make sure that Online play is enabled. Sometimes this is switched to being disabled and therefore they cannot join any online games and friends cannot join their game
either. Both you and your friends should check in Minecraft settings and make sure that Online play is enabled and friends are allowed to join. Then you can select which permissions you would like to enable for your friends when they join your world after
that.

We are both running the same updated version of minecraft that is fully updated. I'm thinking that there is an issue with my microsoft account.

Your friend and you need the same version of minecraft, for instance: if you're on 1.16.210 your friend should have that version too if he/she has a 1.16.200 version you can't join, you'll need the same version as him/her as well it's not the internet it's the bug version, try to compare the versions of the game you both own and update accordingly.
