Friends Can Hear Audio Through My Headset

Recently i bought a Xbox one Chat Adapter for my Rig 400HS Headset (Xbox One compatible) And when i enter party chat, my friends can hear my music, game audio and them selves. Help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

Headset via Adapter: In game Chat & Audio can be heard fine. But I cannot hear party chat, yet they can hear me?

All in the question really.

Set up is simple, Xbox ONE controller > Stereo Adapter > 3.5mm Splitter > Headset with separate Mic/Audio cables.

When playing a game I can hear the game's audio and the in-game chat come through perfect on my headset and they can also hear me.

However when I decide to go Party with a friend he can hear me but I can't hear him?

When I use the original Xbox One Chat Headset (the crappy little one ear and mic) I can hear him and he can hear me.

It's not a problem with my headset or wires as I can hear the game audio, chat from players in the game etc. all fine! I just cannot hear party chat?

 

Xbox Audio suddenly stopped playing through headset?

I was sitting here in chat on the dashboard and all of my audio that was playing through my headset started playing out of my T.V. Nothing was changed, it did it by itself. I'm using the Turtle Beach x12 headset and it is working perfectly. I can still hear
people chat through the headset and they can hear me talk, I just can't seem to get all of the other audio through them. Changing the audio settings in the Xbox menus did nothing to help the issue.

What happened?

 

Did you buy the adapter used?

I've had a few of the adapters and they've all ended up doing this. Only thing that worked was replacing it. Guy at the store where I bought it from mentioned that he's seen this problem quite often.

 

I borrowed it from my friend to see how it was, he said it was perfect and he never had the same problems.

You should be able to go into device settings from your dashboard and mute your microphone, this should resolve the issue of people hearing everything that is going on in the background for you

 

I understand this, but when i am in my friends party they can here all my audio and i use headphones.

If the problem persists:

• Try another headset using the Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter.

• Try your Xbox One Stereo Headset with another device, such as a laptop, to see if the headset is working. If not, the headset will need to be replaced.

• Try your Headset on another controller, if you can. If the headset works on the second controller, try
  updating the first controlleragain.
  If that fails, the controller will need to be replaced. To order a replacement, go to the
  Xbox Online Service Center.
