Friends, believe the good news!

I'm having a shortage of friends to play with lately, for various reasons, such as not having enough friends for specific games that I want to play. So to counter that, I've decided to re-add many of you (xbox.com forum regulars) that I've had as friends
in the past. I've come to realize that with the unlimited number of friends on Xbox One, there really is really no reason to have removed you unless you're a) a jerk, or b) offline for months on end. So, in essence, if you haven't already added me as a friend,
I'm effectively following you, which means you will start to see some of my feeds, invites, etc. If you haven't already added me as a friend, I'd like you to do so. If you're not okay with this, for whatever reason (for example, you find me too annoying),
then please let me know so I can go ahead and remove you (again), out of respect for you. Otherwise, I hope to see you online!

Good News

My Tap-tiles, Jigsaw, And Minesweeper started working as normal this AM. I didn't do anything special but kept my patience.

It was good to have the forum-- Just to know that there was an issue from other players.

Hi geek I've been busy on summer holidays (still on them especially if you live in NZ and Australia). I've been busy on Xbox 360 since most of my friends hang out there. I'm finishing off adding my holiday videos to YouTube then may play, yup you guessed
it Minecraft. I also like COD BO2. But for Xbox 1, I LOVE Screamride (seriously not many people play it! I got some of my Minecraft friends to try the demo of it and they went "woooeeee.... this is coooool". Other games I'll play on Xbox 1 are Kinect Sports
Rivals, COD BO3 Zombies, maybe Battlefront Star Wars, Zoo Tycoon definitely, Minecraft, Forza 6 tag virus multiplayer. I play Xbox for fun. If I start getting bored of if a game starts to get far too hard for me, I usually quit to something else. But I'm a
good friend (most of the time) but I do tend to be afk in YouTube and Netflix. It's common with my generation.

OH AND I HAVE GOOD NEWS. I HAVE OVER 10,000 GAMERSCORE. (plays the song "celebrate good times come on") I know it's an old song some of my friends said. But I don't tend to add people here unless I like them. When Cloud was moderator on here, I went to my
friends "wooo, I'm friends with a moderator". There are some mods I don't quite like but I like bowski.

I might try spending more time this year on Xbox 1. When I am on Xbox 1, its usually Halo 5 campaign (only up to mission 8), Forza 6 tag virus only, multiplayer playground playlists, Minecraft, Zoo Tycoon, maybe project spark (I posted a video on YouTube
I wasn't expecting it to get over 20,000 views!), YouTube and Netflix. Games I'm anticipating this year are ReCore. Last year I got a new PC and have The Sims 4 and Cities Skylines on it. Cities Skylines is going to be coming out for Xbox 1 but no one knows
when.

I probably won't live up to your "expectations" (I'm younger than you) but when I am "on" and "want to play" it adds to the enjoyment. I have a full friends list on Xbox 360 and I find myself normally only hanging out with like a quarter of them. Having
more friends on your list may give you more options and variety of people to possibly play with. Theres no point in aiming for 1000 friends this gen, otherwise you wont get time to regularly play with all of them. Even on Xbox 360 sometimes you or your friends,
feel like your ignoring each other.

I remember it last year I think you said something like "would you like the amazing opportunity to be friends". But you don't call yourself [your name] for no reason. I'm even friends with one of my friends grandma. If I see you playing Minecraft and if
I'm available on Xbox 1, I'll join. If you want my attention, play Minecraft or COD BO3 zombies or Zoo Tycoon or Project Spark.

My expectations with my friends is lenient. You must be nice, friendly, and not grief or steal or keep killing me over and over. I also want us to get on well for at least one period. I have a few friends who I got on very well in previous years, and despite
them being offline, I've kept them. I actually deleted someone to make room for Xbox 360 cuz she was offline for months, and now shes back on Xbox 1. Actually 2 of my friends deleted me when I was away for 2 weeks over new years but I'm friends with them again.
One of them wrote "I MISSED YOU". You also must not throw hate around or be too rowdy. I don't mind friends who quit out off lobbies but if they do it deliberately especially at round 1 it gets on my nerves but I can forgive. I also want to have at least some
fun with my friends and to play with them regularly, though that is not always possible. I'd also like to know your first name (not compulsory tho) and what country your from. I'd also like to be friends with Halo Jolly but I'm not pushy. I met her once in
A World of Keflings.

Anybody who spams constant rubbish to the feed or invites without messaging first gets removed and or blocked.

You fell into the latter of my list as it was the most annoying thing ever... that and the fact you use kinect for chat *shudders*.

 

Why is this "GOOD NEWS"? Just goin off ur title, but wondering why it's good news...dunno u so maybe it is, but...yawn...

 

242 is a shortage? ;-) I have 23: 4 are guest accounts/alts, 1 is my girlfriend, 3 are people I have never met in "real life", and the rest are personal friends. Can't really say I have a shortage...maybe I'm just not that social? Lol. Have even less on
the PSN.

a lot actually - I'm playing a lot of Killer Instinct (so much so that I was featured on the official Killer Instinct Twitch channel this weekend, where I got to open the event by being the 1st to play, got 5 wins and 2 losses, with 3 of them being straight
wins in a row that earned me the all-new "couch champion" title, and was only 1 of 2 people to beat CStyles45, the game's community moderator and a pro-player in his own right) and Halo 5: Guardians lately. I'm particularly looking for more friends for the
latter title. I'm also looking into going back and playing more of Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare before its sequel releases (which I'm still kind of on the fence about), and would like more people to play with in Minecraft: Xbox One Edition, Forza Motorsport
5, any of the Magic: the Gathering games, Grand Theft Auto 5, Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, Star Wars Battlefront, Battlefield 4, Worms Battlegrounds, World of Tanks, and numerous other titles.

It looks like we have a lot of games in common - I'm surprised we don't play more often (although I'm sure that's due to the time difference more than anything. Still, it'd be nice to have someone to play with in early morning hours. As for how I want others
to be friends, they really just need to follow the Xbox Live Code of Conduct - if they can do that, then they'll be fine. Regarding Halo Jolly and other silver members, I did not add them, as there's no real point, since they can't play multiplayer without
a Gold subscription.

It's a wonder you have any friends then if they can't share something with you that might (God forbid) show up on your own feed (especially since you can simply delete what you don't want on there). You'll be happy to know that I've been sharing a lot less
and inviting only those that matter (like the people playing the same game for example). Furthermore, I've NEVER been reported, suspended, or banned for spam, so as far as I'm concerned, I haven't broken any rules, recently, or otherwise. Personally, I think
you're also too harsh with your own perspective on this matter, but I digress - it's not like I can do anything about it after all - it's your own choice to make. I'll check and see if I added you - if I did, I will go ahead and remove you, as I said before,
out of respect for you.

Regarding the Kinect however, I'm generally forced to use it - you see, I can't wear headphones with my hearing aids as it causes a terrible feedback loop (basically, it "whistles" in my ear, which isn't going to make my hearing any better). I use the Kinect
as a means to continue communicating and worked very hard to fine tune it so it doesn't bother anyone on their end. In that regard, I think I must be doing well, as I haven't had a single complaint from anyone about my Kinect in MONTHS. The last thing I'd
like to add referring to the Kinect is how a lot of games don't support Kinect chat in multiplayer - it's like a slap in the face (as Goth so eloquently puts it) to the hearing-impaired!

Because having friends should ALWAYS be good news! Duh! That and I like to have a play on words when it comes to the subject lines of my threads - most forum regulars know this already. I keep hearing that phrase when I go to church, so I thought it was
rather fitting. In any case, you need not worry - I didn't really consider you a forum regular and have not added you as far as I can tell (I'll double check though just in case).

To Deedles:

It's actually a bit of catch-22. You'd be surprised at how many of those friends are offline at any given time or doing something else entirely and are too busy. In a way, it also makes it hard to choose WHO to play with. I'm just trying to bolster my options,
is all.

I was actually a bit worried, because this thread hadn't received any replies for some time. I'm glad that it worked. If you're a forum regular that would like to inquire as to whether I have added you or not, feel free to do so here, in this thread, in

I see where iBakes is coming from, though. People save a lot of clips to use for other online purposes, but I've seen friends who will clog up the feed with a dozen or so on any given night. What the console needs is a feature similar to the one on Facebook,
where you can turn off specific feeds if you don't find it interesting. The ease of creating clips has unfortunately spawn a storm of poor content in raw form.

 

Its never bothered me what/how much people put in the community feed, if im interested i will have a look if not nothing lost.
