Friends appearing offline? Help please?

So I've seen other threads about this but haven't found the answer. But basically, I have friends who are appearing offline even though I've been able to play with them. They don't have their account set to "appear as offline". The weird part is that they
can see me online but I can't see them. I've contacted Microsoft about this issue and I've done everything that they've suggested: - removing my account and signing back on - clearing MAC address - removing "offline" friend and re-adding them (I've had them
remove me from their friends list too, did not work) - reset router But pretty much I've done everything possible and nothing. It's not for every friend that I have on my list that it's happening to. There's only a few that are constantly shown as offline.
Anyone know a solution?

Same problem here. My friend always appear offline, with other friends no problem.

Friends appearing offline

Some of my friends are appearing offline to me and I am appearing offline to them even when we are in the same game/party Ive seen posts with the same problem but no results please help (privacy settings etc all ok switched off to clear cache removed re
added friends alll to no avail)

Go into your Xbox setting and under the network what is your NAT type?

Also when working with support, did you forward any ports on your router?

I'm not 100% certain of this but I'm curious if their NAT is also OPeN, Moderate or Strict

It may not be an issue with you but maybe them.

You can always ask them and if that's the case...I'd share this link with them -

support.xbox.com/.../nat-error-solution

If that's not the case, maybe they are hiding from you or have some setting or network issues

I also have same problem.

Still have two accounts under my gamertag. Connectivity Department can not help me until Accounting Department deletes my old region account completely and when transferred to Accounting Department they say only one region account open every time I ask
for help with anything( can not sign in, error codes, update errors, ALL FRIENDS OFFLINE, buying gold online, and many more region related problems) My xbox live connection speed is sixteen times slower than what it use to be after last region change.

Tried many times by phone and email over the past two years to get my region migration fixed correctly. Many of my friends have migrated to computer gaming and PS4. That is why my friends list is so small now. I may switch soon if I do not get this fixed
by 2015-06-17( when my gold expires).
