friends and followers: how does it work ?

To add to this, it works much like Twitter. You can follow anyone that you find interesting, but they have to follow you as well to become "friends". Depending on the privacy settings, you can opt to share more with your friends than people simply following
you.

Friends and followers is pretty straight forward, on Xbox one you will not receive friend requests.

What heppens is that when someone adds you as a friend they will then appear as a follower on your account and you then add them need to add them to your friends list and visa versa.

I agree. I went to add my co-worker the other day. I found his profile and clicked "add friend" on the smartglass app. I thought that was it. No, that just means I'm following him. He never got notified. Plus, how does that even work if he doesn't have an
xbox one. Does someone on the 360 that I find and follow even see me at all? anywhere?

There needs to be traditional friend requests or something. Or more notifications when you get followers or something.

Of course friend requests still work on the 360 and xbox.com. Why wouldn't they? The Xbox One does not do friend requests. You can only follow someone and maybe they'll follow you back.
