Friends always appear offline

For the past couple of weeks all most of my friends always appear offline. I have checked my account settings and everything looks good. I have asked them to check their account settings and it says they are online. Others can see them online but they
always appear offline for me. I have tried to reboot the console and unfriend/refriend them but nothing has worked. I cannot message them on join parties even when they invite me because console has them as offline.

NO. It's best to appear offline before you log in. It resets when you log out. Sorry and GOOD LUCK!!!

 

Always Appear Offline

If there a way to always appear offline in the Xbox 360? I only use my 360 for video apps now and I not want to appear online when I am not going to interact with anyone.

When I set Appear Offline in settings it does not "stick". The next time I turn my Xbox on it goes back to appearing online. Is there a way to make that setting permanent?

Can you please share what your detailed network statistics have listed under network settings? Does your NAT show as open? Keep us updated so that we can best help you out.

 

Yes the NAT is Open. and using a wired network

Thanks for that info! Could you also pass us the results of the Detailed Network Statistics test that Mister Maka originally requested? You can find that option under 'Network settings' within the Xbox One settings menu. That will help us a bunch!

In the meantime, one of the steps you can try is a
Factory Restore on your Xbox One console, selecting 'Reset and keep my games & apps'.
