Friends all offline or sorry we cant show your friends right now

I've been getting both the sorry we cant show your friends right now message as well as my entire friends list show up offline even when the Live services are up and running. I've tried the one fix that's been posted here about clearing the various data
on your Xbox then removing your account and adding it back and the problem still happens. Has anyone found a permanent fix or reason on why this error occurs? Or is yet another bug of the Xbox one that probably wont be fixed?

I can play destiny which is an online only game and other things seem to work as well. my connections are fine my NAT is open i cleared the cache. All thats left is for me to do is a factory reset or for someone to tell me whats going on.

 

I've had this issue, and others, for a couple of weeks now. My problem started a day or two after installing the last update. I am replacing my modem in hopes that it will help but it seems like an issue on Microsoft's end with our accounts. It doesn't seem
to be affecting everyone though.

 

Hello! This issue was fixed a while ago you should be able to see your friends now.
