The whole point of what I was saying is that K/D is irrelevant taken entirely by itself and that once you go beyond a reasonable threshold, it simply means nothing. Out of curiosity, do you prefer aim assistance on or off, and which do you use?

 

I prefer the assistance on. im not really big on shooting. im more of a racer. not that I cant shoot or anything, just saying

 

KDR can be abused, but it can also form part of a more accurate bigger picture when combined with other player stats.

The point I was making is the current obsession with KDR is lame. To the extent that a player who gets a few kills at the start of a match will be hesitant to risk dying by contributing to his or her team. Playing the game differently to preserve a number
is a worthless pursuit.

 

I like Free aim but i like lock on aim the more.

 

KDR means little to nothing I personally like to keep it above a 1 that way I kill more than I die, but two of my friends play a lot of deathmatches and one of them has a KDR of like .6 the others is like a 3.7 and its because the one runs out gets everyone
shooting at him and the other one stays back and pops the people shooting at him.

It only matters if you make it matter.

I prefer auto aim for killing the AI, but Free aim when it comes to killing players myself but like I just said thats just me. In Max Payne 3 if I didn't have auto aim. I would have died of an aneurysm pretty fast.

 

LOL. I think I'd like to go back to MP3 aiming TBH. GTA:O aiming in Free Aim is literally "judge Y-coordinate, run sideways, shoot".

Why they added aiming while running I'll never know. Everyone and their grandma can shoot now. Rather have GTA: IV "ADS-only" at this point.

I do agree, primarily because straining to keep your K/D up makes it a less accurate representation of what you're actually capable of.

It's like when someone sits back with a sniper rifle every game, ending up with K/D of 4 yet dies in every face to face encounter. That's not a 4 K/D player, that's some inflated garbage.

 

There are crews out there currently that want you to have at least a 2-3 K/D as a requirement. Time to get some fresh air, much?

I also never understood the obession with K.D. Looks like we found the CoD **** that migrated over to GTA: V.

 

Yeah KD used to matter to me, but then I was like why? Couldn't answer so I was like I rather win than lose my W/L is much more important! lol jk. Just have fun do what you like be a teamplayer.

I just want some medium/long range rifle without a scope like the Mini-30 on MP3. Mainly what I call a sniper hunting rifle.
