Friend request pending?

Hey, I've been trying to add my friend on Xbox Live to play Destiny together but on his messages menu the request doesn't show up. He tried sending me a request but it just says my request is still pending even though I show up on his list as online. I
would be gratefull for any help at all Thanks

Do other people get requests from people that they don't know? The other night I got two, one was actually from a buddy that had to setup a new account since his last one was hacked. The other I have no idea who the person is and they wont reply to a message. Can you block yourself from a public list?

I get it if its something randomly new but the few times I added people like this a while back I had to go and remove them within a month. Non-stop asking me "Whats up" or my age. Really? I am a grown women with children in the house, I do not like being stalked through the TV.

 

Hello there, lots of people including myself have this problem. To be honest with you Microsoft doesn't care. Nor do they bother to even acknowledge the problem in service alerts or let people know they are aware of the problem. There was a recent update
and they could have addressed this issue in the update but they haven't. I'm afraid that you can't do anything to fix this issue. No one can but Microsoft. Last year there was a messaging bug that affected nearly everybody and it still took 3 months to fix
it. So I don't know when this issue will be fixed.

Sorry to hear about the friend request issue! Have you and your friends tried adding each other on Xbox.com or through the Xbox SmartGlass app (Windows Phone, iOS, Android)?

Visit the
Friends page on Xbox.com, search for your friend's Gamertag, and try to add him on that page. If that does not work, try adding them through the Xbox SmartGlass app if you can.

Mister Beep, as I have already said nothing works. If you use an Xbox One or Xbox.com you can follow each other and even that doesn't work sometimes. The problem everyone is having is on Xbox 360 so if you were to go to Xbox.com and click add friend-Xbox
360 it would still not work. And by the way SurviousFuture, the Xbox One update changed the bug so that you can now add/remove and block people on it however as soon as you remove the person, it will just automatically add a different past friend in their
place. But nothing has changed for Xbox 360, the bug is still happening.

I actually replied to that thread but you didn't reply. And believe me I have done so many tests on this bug so I wanted people to know that troubleshooting doesn't work, regardless of whether or not they have tried it.

issue, so we want to start there. Even if we have an active investigation going, we want to make sure everything that can be done has been done before we pass information along to the teams doing the investigation.

Hey ..... i have these problems too... anyone knows how to help? my friend requests remain pending yet they see me as online and see my games i play.... also too i've bought xbox live gold cards to redeem and they dont seem to redeem, please help :/
