Friend Notification

Discus and support Friend Notification in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; will the next update fix the notification which i dont get when a Friend comes Online?     will the next update fix the notification which i dont get when a Friend comes Online? We're just a small group and until i got the One i never notice that someone is online. At least fav. Friends notification? Thanks 4 answer your (now) mr. Lonely

    Friend online notifications?

    I'd be interested to know how this works actually. Does it only work for favourites? I can understand why they turned it off by default for friends now you can have 1000 (you'd have a notification every five seconds), but I don't remember seeing one at all now.

    No I don't think it is in the update. I gave my closest most regular gaming friends as favourites. So what I do as I'm loading up a game after turning on is to SNAP ACTIVITY and you can see which favourite are on and then invite to party if I want to chat.
    It's not the same but it will show you who's on quickly.

    I would pay for this function!! 4 me its so xbox typical and now its not available.. I feel like im alone now when my xbox is online..

    I'm pretty sure the "friend request" notification will pop up in a future update. As for the "friend online" notification, I'm not so sure. With the ability to have 1,000 friends (or whatever the cap is), I can see really quickly how annoying it would
    be when 30 of your friends all sign in at the same time.

    How much time do they need?!! This is a simple feature that should have been included at launch. I've had my console for 3 months now and have received 3 updates (release day, February, and now the preview) and they haven't even hinted that this is ever
    going to be brought back.

    Not knowing when friends come online is the most anti-social thing they could have done. Half my FL aren't even playing their console anymore because of this one feature. C'mon MS....get it together.

    So the first option didn’t work. Well I have a question on that. So what if I have a number of Consoles in my house. Do I have to do it to all of them? And what about the Xbox app do I need to be logged out?

    Finally, why is this only happening with this gamer?
