Friend keeps disapearing from friends list, can't add him back.

My friend keeps on disappearing from my Xbox friends list, and then I can't add him back.. It either will do nothing, or it will say "unable to save your changes, try again later" The same thing is happening for him. I've tried to friend him on console, pc, and phone. Sometimes it will work, and he will show up in my friends list, but then no more than a day later, he always disappears from my friends list. I have no idea why this is happening. We both have all our privacy settings set in a way that would allow us to friend, but nothing works. We can still friend other people, but for some reason we can't friend each other, and it seems that it is only each other that we can't add. I've looked all over the internet, through forums, on websites, and we've tried everything we've seen, but nothing ever works. This problem is getting incredibly frustrating, and I have no idea how to fix it.

Hi Dallin! I am sorry to hear about the issue. This is clearly not the situation I want you to be in. I know how frustrating this must be and I would feel the same way if I were on your situation.

Since the issue happens to multiple devices/platforms, this is clearly a server or cloud issue specifically with your accounts as you don't have problems with your other friends. I am afraid that we can only do so much about that here. I recommend that you instead contact the Xbox Support team for them to properly investigate your issue and possibly escalate it to the higher ups. My problem is that he isn't on my friend list. Due to a glitch of some sort, he was removed from my friend list after he blocked me and I can't add him back. I am on his friend list, but when I add him, it says "Sorry, we can't save your changes right
now. Try again in a while."

I'm getting the same message... But only on one person I had on my friends list. He just got removed on my end and I can't add him back

Sorry to hear you are having issues adding a friend. It might be worth asking your friend to get someone to try and add him as it could be his account causing the issues. If you can add others then your account sounds fine. It could be something has changed on his account.

For a friend to be a friend on Xbox 360, your friend has to friend you back.

If only you are the person befriending him, you become a "follower". Only if your friend adds you to their friend list on the Xbox One as well, you become friends.
