Friend gifted me a game from the same region from the Microsoft Store from XBox One screen...

The best way would be to purchase a Xbox Gift card for their region from an online store such as amazon. You say you both live in Europe, so purchase the gift card from the amazon site that is in the same region as your friend. That way you are guaranteed a gift card for the region your friend is in.

i think the best thing is to do is that your friend ask a refund for the gift and try again or make a new account and try to redeem the code to see if that fixe the issue

I have a friend who's not from the states but is a friend of mine on my Xbox one console. Now I remember exclusively that if you wanted to buy a friend a gift from the Microsoft Store you can! But nobody told me about regions. So I assumed that
it was possible to do through the Microsoft Store. It turned out that I could not buy my friend a gift from the Microsoft Store. I was upset by this! So I started to chat with Xbox about how I bought my friend who is not from the states a game. Yet my friend
is on my Xbox one console. Once my friend had told me that it would not work on my friend Xbox one console I was upset by this as previously said. So Xbox help me get my refund back, and yet it was the game I wanted to buy for my friend but because of regions
issues I could not buy the game that I wanted to buy for my friend because of regional issues. Than Xbox gave me different ways of getting the game for my friend who is not from the states. And I looked at Xbox ways of looking at how I can buy my friend the
game. Once I look at Xbox ways of how to get the game for my friend. I said no to their ways. I don't want to be going from point A, to point B, to point C, with ads popping up. Than I said to the agent at Xbox on the chat. I thought that's what the Microsoft
Store is for? Not to keep going from point A, to point B, to point C just for one game! That makes no sense? Listen! I have no disrespect for Major Nelson that man has shown me 8 or 9 years of the Xbox 360, before the Xbox one console came out, and at the
time of the Xbox one console has been launched in 2013 at 500GB so I respect Major Nelson. But! did you guy's hear him say anything about regions for buying a friend a gift? What I did hear him say was about using your friends gamer tag if they were on your
friends list or e-mail. My whole entire point is that the Microsoft Store should always be the one place to go to regardless of currency you have or what region you live in. And. why should you keep going from point A, to point B, to point C . When everything
is right here on the Microsoft Store on your Xbox one console and other devices? Think about that. Wouldn't you want to do it all in one shot regardless of your currency and region you live in?

I am sorry, but can you be little more specific with "a gift card of the subscription with the "Worldwide" tag" I got xbox just few days and I'm afraid that i didn't get this. My friend is in Argentina, he gave me some game codes as a gift, but when I tried to buy some gifts in console store for him I get same issues with region. Also I've tried to buy gift on xbox store from PC and get the same error.

I think the main trouble is in currency of my debit card, because address of my microsoft account and region of store are the same. Is "a gift card of the subscription with the "Worldwide" tag" means that somewhere I can buy gift codes with no issues?

Does your friend live in the same region as you if not that's why

It's not a code from xbox but your friend who gifted it to yoU however your friend didn't read the warning

If you arent in the same region you must have him buy from your region via etailer
