Friend-Adding Problems.

I am trying to add a friend on Xbox Live for the 360 and every time I send the request, I get this message: "Can't complete this process. Please try again. For more into, visit
www.xbox.com/support."

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Are you able to find these people on Xbox.com (
http://xbox.com/ )? If you can I would recommend turning off your Xbox and holding the power button for 5-sec. this will clear the system catch. If the problem still accrues please re-download your profile.

Has anyone seen this issue? I cannot add friends. I have double, triple and even quadruple checked to make sure that I have their gamertag correct and I get the following error

We couldn't find that person

Check the gamertag and try searching again (0x87c40006)

This has happened with several different gamertags, and I have not successfully added anyone with a gamertag search.

I once had this problem but when I had it it wasdue to severe connection lag. Does your connection appear to beslow when signing into Xbox LIVEon the 360? Maybelike 10-15 seconds to sign in?

When was the last time you restarted your router? It might be overheating a bit causing a bit of disturbance. Let me know!

Thanks for the reply Criosphinx, my connection to my 360 is good, I haven't had any problems with this before and don't seem to get any lag in-game.

For the speed test I got the following:

Ping: 52

DL Speed: Around 18 Mbps

Upload Speed: .8 mbps

I have two further solutions you could try. It might be the resolution. After you have followed these steps to clearing the system cache, unplug your power supply/adapter and leave it for 30 seconds. and then reconnect the power supply. Give it a try after
that,at this point anything is worth a try

At a very last resort you could try re-downloading your profile after those steps have been completed.

Clear the system cache

1. Press the Guide button on your controller, go to Settings, and select System Settings.

2. Select Storage or Memory.

3. Highlight any storage device, and then press Y on your controller.

(It doesn't matter which storage device you select; the cache will be cleared for all storage devices.)

4. Select Clear System Cache.

5. When prompted to confirm storage device maintenance, select Yes
