Friday the 13th - Videogame.

Due out around October this year. Most people here are probably too young to remember the first few movies. I loved them so a game might be cool. It will probably be an arcade title if it does come out on Xbox ONE/360.

Anyone else think a game like this could be cool or most likely a dud?

Currently in development, Friday the 13th will reportedly be an asymmetrical, co-operative and competitive multiplayer predator/prey horror experience that pits a small group of resourceful survivors against a single player in control of the immortal,
relentless slasher icon.

This will be the first official Friday the 13th licensed game to feature the hockey mask–wearing, machete-wielding psychopath since players last faced off against the infamous Jason on the NES back in 1989.

Im predicting a February 13th release. Thats a Friday. Or March 13th, also a Friday. November the 13th is a Friday as well. Those are the only three dates like that this year.

Sounds a bit like a reskinned Evolve.

I always thought most slasher movies were stupid. The NES Game for Friday the 13th was possibly right up there as one of the worst Games ever made. I didn't see any reason to why a "reboot" of such a lame Franchise is really needed.

 

I think if done right it could be a gooder.... I would prefer Michael Myers instead of Jason.....

Could be cool if they make it like Alien:Isolation and give the ability to hide as your main defense.

Not sure if this a game I'd get, will have to wait and see when more information is available.

 

I loved the movies. Remember seeing many of them in the theaters. I'm just not sure how good a video game would be of them.

 

I remember playing the original nes version. may give it a try.

 

what next Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween, Mad Max........oh hang on......
