Fresh Out of the Box... Not Applying Update

So I just purchased an Xbox One. Went through the initial set up, got it connected to my wireless and downloaded the initial update. The it says "Applying update" and gets as far as 33% and it disconnects somehow, reconnects and starts back over at 20%.
Once it gets back to 33%, the same thing happens again and again. Help. Thanks!

2 consoles BRICKED after latest update attempt

PSA - Both my and my son's boxes are getting uncorrectable E100 and E102 errors after our "always on" boxes attempted to load the latest update by themselves. The OS is corrupted, so I can't manually do an offline update. They will NOT reset, in part or
in whole. Luckily ol' paranoid me has OEM disk images for both of them, and I have already fixed one of the boxes by re-imaging the HDD and then applying the update offline. I will do the same for my son's tonight.

You have been warned. Any comment, Xbox?

 

Out of box update

Well first all consoles need a day 1 update including ps4

Especially if you want to connect to the net

The length does depend where you are

Your Internet connections is only one factor the hubs between also affect it if you don't live in North America you are going to be dealing with a lot of routers between you and xbox

Also wireless signal doesn't help nor does backgrounding the update

 

Lets try a hard reset. Follow the steps below.

Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds

unplug the console from the power brick for about 5 minutes

plug it all back in and try again.

If it doesn't work then instead of connecting the console to the internet skip that step and head straight to the home screen.

The double tap the X (Home button) then open snap and go to settings - network - network settings - connect to the desired router via wifi, ethernet cable. - Settings - system - system info & updates - update console.

 

Apologies for posting here but it appears to be the only place I can. I'm having issues with the latest preview update. Can someone help me to get in contact with the correct people.

If that didn't work, try updating your console using:
support.xbox.com/.../offline-system-update-diagnostic-tool

If all else fails, reset your console to factory defaults then proceed with the update.

However, if you're not part of preview you would be seeing "Group not found"
