Frequently get disconnected. Please help.

I get disconnected VERY frequently. So frustrating. I still have a connection whenever i get disconnected, it just kicks me off all the time. I've tried going through the troubleshooting steps for getting randomly disconnected. I dont know what the problem
is. And i dont think i could identify the problem either. I know nothing about setting up modems and routers, i just know how to reset them. This isn't a temporary problem, it's been happening since i've had this setup. Please help.

Frequent disconnection with Motorola sbg6782 router

Ever since I got the motorola sbg6782 router I have frequently been getting disconnected from xbox live especially when playing games like call of duty ghosts and GTA V. At first when I connected the router it said NAT was strict or moderate. So I enabled
UpnP I no longer get strict or moderate NAT but still frequently get disconnected and I disabled the routers firewall as well. Can anyone help?

Ok well try experimenting with different wireless channels to see which one is best for you it can make a big difference

 

the you should say:

who is your internet Provider? Which Modem do you use? Whitch Router do you use?

I´m sure it´s a Problem with your router. So you should try to get the latest firmware for your Router.

Google your router + Firmwareupdate. If you have a Netgear Device you can save your Settings befor you upgrade.

 

I'll try that i guess. Anyone else have any idea whats causing this?

 

I have this same issue, it doesnt happen on my 360 at all. just my xbox one, especially if I quit/close a game, then try to open another app, like upload or netflix, it won't load at all. its like if I close an online game like destiny or titanfall, I temporarily
lose connection for a bit over 5 minutes.

The UI and all the ads or whatever show up like im still connected, its just starting up something right after closing a game or app causes my xbox one or its connection, to slow down a ton

 

I get disconnected while im playing. Several times per gaming session.

Still nobody wants to help me with this..

Ok so apparently i dont have access to my routers settings, its controlled by my internet provider. Thats what my moms fiance told me when i asked if he could update the firmware. Cause he knows more about our configuration than me. And he's sure that the
firmware updates automatically.

 

Should i call my internet provider, or xbox support?

 

then you should ask your Internet Provider - they should log your connection and if you get Disconnected they can see why. You can do nothing your ISP should watch this !
