    Frequent Xbox One freezing; any known issues?


    Before I return the unit for service, I wanted to check if there are known issues regarding constant freezing. My unit will freeze during games (although the sound will continue), Xbox music streaming, and sometimes just moving around the home screen.

    I performed a Factory Default reset last night. However, it froze again today while streaming Xbox music. It may hang 3-5 times in one day.

    I can remediate this by unplugging the unit, then plugging it in and restarting.

    Appreciate thoughts in advance...

    Frequent freezing

    My Xbox freezes all the time, and because of a poorly made autosave feature I lost 3 hours of gameplay. F you Microsoft. If Apple made a console i'd sell my Xbox for it the day it came out.

    Encountering the same issue. We've had a Day One Edition since launch and it worked great. But ever since installing Minecraft for Xbox One, we've had constant problems with freezing. Not just in Minecraft (altho it happens a lot in that game) but also on
    boot-up or on the home screen. Sometimes power-cycling works. Sometimes it doesn't.

    Not sure if there's any diagnostics or troubleshooting steps we can perform to determine the health of the Xbox One, its hard drive, etc. without sending it in for service? The Xbox One Support Page is currently down. ("This page is currently unavailable,
    please check back later.")

    Are you on an Xbox One X, by chance? There were some known issues in Metro Exodus with crashing and freezing on the Xbox One X, sadly. Hopefully these issues will be getting patched very soon.

    I an installing it on Xbox One, and this issue occurs only with this game. During the installation it stops frequently but keeps going until it hits “Ready to Start” where it completely freezes

    Have to ask what console you are using?, There is a known issue of it freezing on xbox one x.

    Sorry it seems to have a few bugs but from these type of issues on the game I can only apologize for the inconvenience

    I hope the fix they are looking for the Xbox One X issue gets resolved
