    Frequent updates without being in the insider program


    Hello everyone!

    I´ve bought a broken xbox one x and repaired it. This involved doing an offline update and now it works like a charm. Even though from a technical standpoint it works flawless i´m noticing it getting very frequent updates lately so i´ve turned on auto system updates. Is it possible, for it still being enrolled from the guy i´ve bought it? I´m using it with my microsoft account and when i´m downloading the insider software it asks me if i want to join the program. Still i think its weird, that before i´ve turned on auto-updates it would update almost every day. Any thoughts about this on your part?

    are you in the insider program? if so, it's pretty normal to get frequent updates.

    Hello, I could be possible that you are in the Xbox Insider Program. Updates occur more frequently with being a part of the program. If the updates are failing you would receive a message saying the update failed. Nothing to be to worried about.

    If you're an Xbox Insider then you will get more updates as compared to others. Even as an insider there are 4 different rings - alpha, beta, delta and omega. Being in alpha ring will result in a lot of updates, and number of updates goes down as you reduce
    your level.

    If you do not want frequent updates you can unenroll from the program.

    Why even with automatic updates off is there so many forced updates in the Delta ring of the Insider Program?

    Hi, as they say you can't have your cake and eat it, those insider updates are mandatory and will be pushed to your Xbox despite you having automatic updates disabled. Your only option would be to remove your Xbox from the insider program totally or drop
    down to the Omega ring where updates may be less frequent. I'm in the Alpha leap ahead ring myself and those regular updates are just a part of being in the program which I expect and accept.
