    Frequent disconnects from the Netflix application on my Xbox 360. I'm on a wireless connection. I'm using a Motorola modem behind an Asus gaming router with more than enough throughput to handle Netflix on multiple connections simultaneously. While watching
    I am disconnected multiple times during the span of one 40 minute episode. It tells me Netflix is having trouble playing the title right now, and to try again later. The remainder of the time the Xbox stays on it cannot reconnect to Live and subsequent Netflix
    attempts get to 25% , every time, and time out. I get a screen telling me to upgrade to Gold, even though my account has Gold status. Network tests during this time also always fail. I have tried watching Netflix on my laptop while watching on the Xbox. The
    laptop continues to play flawlessly whenever the Xbox disconnects. This has been an ongoing issue, and I am running thin on patience for Microsoft and their attempts at producing hardware that doesn't induce migraines on a daily basis.

    Frequent disconnects from xbox live. (only when using the netflix app)

    I too am interested in a "How to fix" as it seems there are many people having an issue with Netflix on the 360. I also get frequent disconnects from XBox live in the middle of watching a tv show more often than not. When you have a 2 year old, Netflix
    is awesome, but these frequent drops make it difficult to help him wind down most nights.

    Within the past week, Netflix will disconnect from live on my 360. It is getting progressively more frequent. I have deleted and reinstalled netflix to no avail. Netflix does work fine on my computer and phone using the same internet connection. It might
    be a netflix problem but since the only issue is with the 360 I am posting here first.

    Hello Raptor! I can assure you that you are not the only one having these problems. I have encountered them, too. Here are some steps that could help you with your issue!

    1. Try to reset your router a few times. If needed, make sure you are not on opposite ends of the house and that you have full bars!

    2. Try deleting your Wi-Fi and reconnecting it. You could also try deleting and redownloading the Netflix app itself! Also, you can try deleting and downloading your profile, if you feel it could help.

    3. Try cleaning the cache, you can find the steps on the Xbox support website! There could have been a problem with the previous update or download!

    4. If that does not work, try contacting your internet provider and (if necessary) have them take a look at your router. (This is what needed fixing in my case, but you may not need to do so)

    If none of the steps above helped your problems, maybe get your console looked at. Hopefully this isn't the problem but in some cases it is. Something could be internally damaged.

    1. I've reset several times, and I have adequate signal. The Xbox lives directly above my wireless router, so it's close enough to not be an issue.

    2. Check, check, and check. Redownloading my profile and the Netflix app, as well as forgetting and re-connecting to my network, haven't helped.

    3. I've cleared the cache several times. It's one of the first things I tried.

    4. My ISP won't be able to help me with my router. I bought it myself, as the modem/ router combo they provided was an outdated piece of hardware. Currently the modem is just acting as a bridge, and my router handles all the devices in the house.

    I've forwarded all the appropriate ports associated with Xbox Live. So, that shouldn't be an issue. Are there any other router settings that I can change to smooth this connection out? Both of the Xbox 360s in the house are having the same issue, while all
    of the desktops, laptops, and phones are connected either by wire or the same wifi network with no issues. Thanks again for the response, I just need to get this sorted ASAP.

    Hello RaptorHayZeus,

    By any chance have you turned the firewall off on the modem before you have bridged it? as the firewall can tend to run despite if the modem is in bridge mode. It states this on most of the manuals for Motorola gateways.

    This post will not help you. But it might comfort you I am having same problem. Nobody answers , No help. One guy was trying to help but did not follow up with his support. Xbox is has terrible support. I want my money back!!
