    Frequent "disconnections"


    Three days ago my new Xbox One S began acting up randomly. It "disconnects" from the internet frequently. I rarely go longer than an hour, and sometimes can be every 15 minutes. It is unusable for online games.

    The unit isn't actually disconnected from my internet, I have checked it and everything is fine. I have another Xbox One sitting 12" from this one, connected to the same wifi, and it has not had any lag or any disconnections during
    this time.

    When it "disconnects" it kicks me out of whatever game I'm playing (Sea of Thieves, Plants Vs. Zombies, World of Keflings), the home page looks as if the unit is offline, but the network settings show I'm connected to my router. The Xbox will always immediately
    reconnect if I either sign out them in, or if I simply check network I'm certain this is a issue with the Xbox unit and not a game or my internet connection. Please help.

    Thanks for all your comments and help guys. It turns out the problem was with my ISP . There was a broadband fault in the area which has now been fixed and the Xbox is working fine now. Happy days.

    i am with talk talk and its happened a few times even though my girlfriends laptop is still connected fine. i thought it was just a bad service from talk talk but it must be live acting up.

    Are you disconnecting from Xbox Live or just the matches you are playing?

    Ok so your modem is fine, yes if you are connecting your Xbox to the DIR825 which then in turn connects to the E1200 you will end up with issues and it is very likely the cause of your disconnects.

    Please connect to the E1200 instead
