Frequent Controller Disconnects?

Hey guys,

Ever since the new update I have had nothing but problems with the controller. Frequently disconnecting every 5 minutes. Its a big issue since we aren't able to enjoy the console with a broken remote.

There are thousands of users suffering the same problem as many of you. We need your votes and we need our voices to be heard by Micrapsoft if we want to get this issue fixed. I'm about ready to just get rid of my Xbox and switch over to a console worth
the $400 *cough cough* PS4. At least they listen to their customers.

New preview update makes games unplayable

I forget to mention that I experience frequent controller disconnects now as well... And the controller sync button doesn't work after installing the latest preview.

 

Why Xbox One controllers break so easily

even if the solder joints break, they can still make contact and it can work. But for those who see frequent "disconnects" of their controller, this is likely the cause.

 

Couldnt agree more. I have loved xbox since 2006 and I think I'm going to switch to PS4 for multi plats. I'll probably get one when the new COD comes out. Unfortunately, I have put in too much time on the xbox one version to switch to ps4 straight away.

The constant disconnects and my headphones constantly cutting out has put me over the edge.

I've had my console repaired twice. And it still keeps coming back. On all 3 of my controllers. One being lunar.

I read somewhere that instead of using their award winning wireless technology from the 360 controllers, this gen they went with Bluetooth for the controllers. I believe they did this to allow higher quality mic chat and headphone support. Admirable reasons!
But unfortunately, somebody dropped the ball at MS, and I believe in built up areas with many wifi signals floating around, the signal gets lost.

I now have lost all faith that Microsoft will ever fix this issue. They obviously can't because they would have by now, and they keep locking threads on the forum everytime somebody brings the issue up.

I emailed Eurogamer.net about the problem to try and make this issue more well known and I got nothing back.

I have tried everything and I'm finally going to give up. PS4 here I come.

Xbox, it was emotional, but you dropped the ball this gen.

 

The wifi cards are the fault of the disconnect issues. I replaced mine on Friday and have not had a single disconnect yet. People usually lose the ability to keep sync with the controller while others have issues with the wifi. You can buy the cards used,
I recommend eBay because of their buyer protection. You can look up videos and illustrations on how to take the console apart to replace the card. It's relatively easy to do.
