Frequent 0x8027025a since update

Since the most recent update (my console updated yesterday - if it helps, it's OS version 10.0.14393.1062 (rs1_xbox_rel_1609.160916-1900) fre). I'm getting 0x8027025a errors whenever I try to start a game. It's gotten progressively worse and now nothing
starts (yesterday a game might start after pulling the power cord, now that doesn't even seem to fix it). And I've just had an issue with the controller not connecting (it's connected again after I pulled the power cord out of the wall socket). And the Kinect
has gotten flakey.

OS version 10.0.14393.1062 isn't a preview update. Xbox One Operating System Versions and System Updates . And I got problems with this update too. Please Microsoft, fix this update

I'm not in the preview programme. This is the general release.

Nothing on
support.xbox.com/.../error-code-8027025a worked.

What worked in the end (well, at least for now) was to do a "Reset and keep my games & apps".

 

My system upgraded this morning and now I am having the same issue. Effectively all I can do is watch TV. I would rather not reset and lose my saved games if I can help it. Especially since I am not convinced it will work. I have tried that link as well
and worked with an ambassador.

 

It's been a few days since I did the reset, and the problems have returned.

Apologies for the confusion on the Preview Program! Have you possibly tried uninstalling and re-installing one of the titles you're having trouble launching?

 

It's pretty much everything - even apps like OneGuide fail and Cortana just freezes.

What I might try next is pulling out all the drives/tv tuner/Kinect and then doing a full factory reset.

 

I worked with a Microsoft tech last night, John MIchaels. We got mine working by resetting but keeping games and apps. I am hopeful that it will stay fixed. I will post here if it begins to fail the same way again.

That may be worth giving a go, but first, have you been able to try and re-install an app to see if there's any change then?

 

The first thing I tried was uninstalling and reinstalling Forza Horizon 3
