    Freezing Issues.


    Yes, I'm aware there have been so many other posts about this and I have tried everything I have read and could think of myself, cleaning the update cache, cleaning the disc that's being used... Ect. I've done everything but wall test it. Now, there have
    been several issues that have arose from my Xbox as of late. Firstly, I have no warranty anymore. Just so that's clearly not an option to fix it. And the power supply, tends to over heat, unless it's out in the open without anything near it and even then...
    it gets hot. But that was never a super downer. I could cope with that. My biggest issue, by far, is the fact a lot of my favorite games will not play. Just for instance, Call of Duty Black Ops 2, freezes after the intro. The console will run fine on the dashboard,
    no issues, and it will 'appear' to be fine up until you get to a certain point then it freezes completely. Now, this isn't the only game it does this for. I've searched for scratches, nothing shows up. For more info, there have been times where my stubborness
    paid off, spending a while restarting and trying again, it will 'rarely' play though. And get to multiplayer, but once that happens... it will play for a moment then over heat. Is there anything that can be done, or should I plan a funeral?

    Does your XBOX360 freeze?

    Nope, the only time I can remember mine freezing is in FIFA 13 on career mode, as there was a now-patched freezing issue whenever you tried to simulate to the next game.

    Freezing Issues.

    =[ Anyone? I was assuming it might be the power supply, from what I read... I gathered that much. It has a tendency to overheat and shut off. Could I please get some kind of a second opinion?

    How old is the console? Is it pre-owned? Refurbished? What model? Have you cleaned the fans?

    Hey there Raven! It sounds like you covered a lot of the troubleshooting already; thank you for that! You are correct that this could be an issue with the HDD. Can you try turning off the console, removing the HDD, and then start up the console again. If
    that works, try using a different storage device, either another HDD or a USB device. If that works, we can safely assume there is an issue with your HDD and it should be replaced.

    That said, once you have a replacement HDD, you may be able to transfer the data to the new one with a transfer cable. Please let me know how the above tests go and we can go from there, thanks!
