    Freezing from age?


    my xbox 360 elite console is about 3 years old and had been very well taken care of. About 2 months ago it crash after about 10 minutes of being on even when not playing a game or doing anything. I last top try putting a small but powerful fan on top of
    the system fan to try cooling it better. It work never crashed again and I always used the fan when I it. Just to today I was going through the marketplace on my Xbox it froze for the first time in about 2 months, since then it has done it multiple times
    in the past hour, it completely freezes the screen and controller disconnects and had to be restarted by hardware button. Tried restarting, clearing cache, removing hard drive, just launching an not playing anything, and testing many different common fixes
    but none worked. IT IS NOT BASED ON ANY SPECIFIC GAME. I think it might be from outs age but that seems unlikely. Please if you have ideas or fixes or even non-invasive cleaning methods I would be very thankful. Any suggestion helps.

    Dashboard Background Freezing

    Hey its the xbox360 arcade. I have cleaned it from dust in the fans,motherboard,cpu etc. I tried offline = freezing, hardrive games = freezing, disc games = freezing, disc films = freezing

    Does your XBOX360 freeze?

    My console does freeze. It freezes about once every two months, often during a weather extreme. The hot temperatures really cause it to over-heat and that is likely the impetus to the freeze. If I don't have the heat on and the unit hasn't been on or long it will freeze from time to time in those winter months.

    I'm sorry to hear about the issue. Is your console in a well ventilated space or is it in an entertainment console of some sort? If it is not in a space with sufficient ventilation around it, try moving it out of the enclosed area first and see if the issue
    continues. If it does persist, unfortunately your console may be in need of repairs. If that is the situation and you would like to explore that option, you can check out the

    1.7 is out......

    I've only noticed an increase of freezing (haven't experienced that in ages) and Skeevers on the roads.

    Final Fantasy XIII-2 demo freezing

    OK even worse this is not only freezing but so is the Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning demo.

    All this after finally getting my account back after waiting on support for 6 months.

    I just played the Dragon Age 2 demo before getting my account back with no problems. And now this.

    Is it possible this is caused by the new dashboard update. Seems to be the only changes made to my Xbox.

    But both demo's keep freezing and not at the same spot either. I did delete App from my Xbox that were on there from before the update (ie Facebook, Zune, Windows Media Center, etc.) and that seemed to help at least with the Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning
    but then I get further then I was before and it still freezes as before it was freezing within just a minute or 2 of starting the demo.

    Installation frozen at 83%

    Best thing I can think of is to delete everything thats related to Dragon age inquisition from your console and re-install it again. Then wait for it to finish installing and any update it needs before playing. Similar freezes happen to me when i play the
    game before it finishes installing.
