Freezing, frame rate drops and sttutering in all games.

Hi people,

I have posted this in other threads related to the issue, but i saw a suggestion from someone of xbox support to make my own, so here i go.

Since almost 2 weeks all my xbox one games are suffering performance issues, no matter if the game is an online multiplayer or single player (even with the console set offline). The problems include as the title of the post say: laggy menus, severe frame
rate drops and split second freezes ingame.

Some examples of this are: Overwatch; the game freezes for a split second several times during matches (the audio runs normal), and the menus like Hero gallery are laggy. Metal Gear Solid V TPP; each checkpoint, server update and enemy encounter makes the
game drop frames drastically, and the iDroid (ingame menu) is extremely laggy aswell. Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate; the moment you aproach to a crowd of enemies the frames drop so bad that the game becomes unplayable.

I have done what every support guy says: power cicle ( i have set energy saving mode), unplug the xbox and internet devices (running wired connection), factory reset. Nothing seems to solve this. I have noticed the issue most of the time occurs after an
hour or so of using the xbox.

Like i said, others have reported this problem. Some say that maybe the cause is a corrupted file, others say the last system update is the problem (im not in preview program btw), others say the console is too hot or holds dust (mine is clean, mostly).
In the end i have run out of options to try and solve this issue, and its really frustrating. Please help.

Framerate drops on my games?

Actually frame rate drops are frequent in many games. This morning I was playing L4D2 and the frame rate drops when the horde of infected come running in my tv screen. In Halo Wars the frame rate drops when there are too many units on screen at the same
time. Frame rate drops are a common occurrence on many games, it is not a fault with the games but instead a limitation on the xbox 360 hardware.

FRAME Drops.... Not slow frame rates and I wasn't talking about BF4, all the other games had frame drop except the multi-platforms.

 

I have the same problem all of a sudden my games are having some major lag, making it basically unplayable for me.

 

if you tried everything else, you're probably just going to have to wait for a new update to fix the issue. with so many people complaining, you'd think they'd get on that, but maybe they are too busy fixing the looooong time broken achievement system,
or adding "clubs" or support for the Play Anywhere system first. they need to get their priorities straight. i can only imagine this is costing them tons of money with heavy call volume to support centers and people requesting repairs and refunds like crazy.

oh also, make sure you aren't using a power strip! (just kidding, but hey it's worth trying before you pay to have them "look at" your console. the service people probably quite literally just look at it while it does a factory reset and get paid for that...)

 

New system update hit today. Downloaded it hoping a fix but nope, the frame rate drops and freezing continues. That power strip advice they are giving just made me laugh (frustration laugh). Like, really? Plug in the wall, simultaneous power strip failures,
come on... one of the thing that make me angry are the people who dont want to recognize their mistakes and gives you lame excuses.

Where is the quality control? Who green-light these broken updates? The guinea pigs of preview program dont give valuable feedback? I paid for the console, the games, the gold membership. The least i expect is a working product. Is that too much to ask?

The console is not faulty, so im not sending it to repairs and waste time and money.

An isolated issue? Maybe not...

Looks like the only posts worth of attention are the new xbox one s purchases and 4k performance. Nice.

Of course:

- Mexico, Guadalajara.

- Modem:Huawei model HG658d

- Xbox one model 1540

- 1 xbox one + 1 xbox 360 plugged inthe same modem (one console active and plugged to the electric stream at a time).

- Both wired.

- Things i have tried: hard reset/power cycle, set the console instant on and energy saving (i always have it in energy saving mode) check internet and xbox live status, set the console offline, disable the internet connection, hard reset modem, unplug all
( xbox, modem, tv) for half hour, both factory resets (keep games and apps and delete everything).

- UPnP: unknown ( i dont even know what that is).

- Open NAT, no problems.

- No error codes or messages from the xbox (any kind).

- ISP: The company is Telmex.

The internet tests dont reveal anything bad. All devices run good. The 360 works fine, online gaming works fine. I am sure the xbox one is in good condition ( no excesive dust, no weird noises, no overheating).

The problem is the software performance (games and apps, the dashboard interface is just more slow than usual). Like i said i will not send the console for repairs. I will not waste more money.

same happening to me for a cpl weeks with MGSV TPP, and rocket league. Games are literally unplayable right now and xbox hasnt even addressed fixing this. Very upset and disappointing. Xbox has been out too long now for this crap to keep happening.

Thanks for the extra info! So with Huwawei's, we've seen issues with having multiple game consoles connected to them. Can you check your

detailed network statistics and provide us with that information as well please?

Next, disconnect your Xbox 360 console from your network, unplug all your networking hardware for 5 minutes, then run the detailed networking test on your Xbox One console again and give us that information too. We just wanna make sure that everything is
working as intended on the network side before we dig into things on the console's end.

I have a crappy service (im broke af), but its enough for my gaming needs.

-Download: 10 Mbps

-Upload: 1.30 Mbps

-Package lost: 0%

-Latency: 76 ms

-MTU: 1452

This with both consoles plugged to the modem (remember, only one console active at a time, the other dont receive power).

Did the test after the modem reboot with the 360 disconnected, same stats.

The internet is not the problem. I have been running the same service all this time and had zero problems related to gaming experience, just lag here and there IN ONLINE MULTIPLAYER, not single player games, even offline.

 

Same problem from me since the last update !!! and needless to say it's a network problem, this is an update bug and you have to fix it immediately, the games are unplayable even offline ashamed !!

Thanks for that information and for your continued patience. Let's have you try to

factory restore your Xbox One console. You'll want to choose the option that allows you to keep your games and apps for this so you won't have to re-download everything.

Give that a shot and let's see what happens. Keep us posted please.

 

I have done that already, both types (keep games and delete all), in case a corrupt game file was the problem. No difference whatsoever.

BTW i read and do what the support faqs and guides say, otherwise i dont see the need to post directly on the forums and waste your time.
