Freezing during startup when loading Home Screen, then goes to a black screen.

When I turn on my Xbox it does it's green xbox loading screen for a few seconds and then it goes to load my Home screen and freezes at the same point every time just before all the tiles have fully loaded in. No error code. It sits like this for a minute
and then goes to a black screen with the white Xbox circle logo in the upper right hand corner of the screen and then just sits like that.

I bought the Xbox only yesterday and didn't have any problems until I noticed that the Halo MCC had been stuck at 3% for way to long. I went to cancel it, and after I did that the console got really slow and buggy and wouldn't load any games. I restarted
it and this is when my getting stuck starting up problem started.

I have done the hard reset of holding down the power button for ten seconds. Still have the issue. I turned it off and unplugged it and all cables including hdmi for about 20 minutes, and when I turned it back on it gets stuck in nearly the exact spot loading
the home screen.

Far cry 5 issues

when I try to open far cry 5, it acts like its loading then screen goes black. Then back to xbox home screen

 

Blank screen!!!!

HELP ME !!!!! My xbox one won't load. The green screen comes on and then instead of the home screen loading the screen goes black. Any suggestions please guys

 

I have solved the problem, I believe. It was the custom background I had chosen failing to load, not the home screen.

When I replaced the image with a different one from a USB stick the problem went away.

Solution: change custom background image. I had to use the smart glass app to bring up the settings On the Xbox one.
