Freezing at the home screen

So this has happened to me 3 times already. I'll be moving around to different apps on my Xbox One and then all of the sudden, my controller won't let me go anywhere else on the screen. It basically freezes. I can press the home button from the app I'm in
and it'll take me back home, but then I can't do anything else from there. I try even using voice commands but it doesn't work. I noticed the past 2 times this has happened, I was in my games and apps. I forgot if I was in my games and apps the first time.
Anyway, has anyone else had this problem? Any solutions? It's really annoying that I pretty much can't go into the my games and apps section now without worrying about my console freezing.

my first one kept going to the home screen the one 2nd and 3rd mine keeps freezing up

 

Freezing on home screen

whenever we push the home button it freezez on the home screen and wont toggle either way for sometime. At times it will correct itself other times it wont. Done a hard reset and reboot. No luck. Any suggestions

 

have you tried a hard reboot to see if this fixes anything? when console is powered on, hold in power button for 5-10 seconds till console powers off. your led on power brick should go from white to orange. most times a hard reboot fixes everything. or
next time it freezes try holding in both triggers and hitting "y" button. this refreshes the dashboard

 

I've been having a similar problem the last few days. While playing a game I might go to the Home screen using the Home button on the controller. The system goes to the Home screen and freezes. I cannot select the game or move around the dashboard, but I
can hold the Home button and it goes to the "Console Off/Controller Off" screen, and then freezes on that screen. Hard resets will reset the dashboard, but it doesn't stop it from happening again. Once while playing a game, the game music continued playing,
but the Home screen was still frozen. This is irritating and I'm sick of tolerating it.

 

Yah I'm also running into the same issue right now I'm trying to see if I unplug everything an wait a while it'll fix itself

 

worst than you！mine will shutdown automatically when this happen！！basically，my console now just a box not a Xbox

 

buy the way，MS say nothing wrong with my console when I send it back to them！ I try all I can even replace the HDD by myself！

 

I had a similar problem, did a hard reset and it seemed to fixed the issue.

 

Anytime I do a hard reset I always clear the persistent storage 3 times.

 

Yah hard reset is only a temporary fix it still happens like 4 to 5 times a day

 

I cut my Xbox on after using it somewhere else, I cut it on abd it shows the green Xbox symbol with the 3dots loading across the bottom and then it stops working it's just a black screen. My Kinect works I can say Xbox on it will cut it on but we go back
to the same problem. My external hard drive is hooked up right, I've unplugged it cut it off and on pushed the power button with the disc eject for the low shut down i've cut it on with the disc eject button abd everything works up until after the logo. And
I know my HDMI cord is fine because I swapped with my friend for his thinking this was the problem mine works on his and his didn't change anything on mine. Pleassse help me I've invested A Lot of money in my XB1.

 

When it first happened it was on my home screen and everything was loading for like a hour so I cut it off and tried letting it sit to try again and Now it won't make it past that logo and it does nothing but sit there with a black screen making no noises
or anything Idk what else to do.

 

And some of the Times I won't even get the Logo it will go straight to black screen.
