    ive recently encountered an issue where the console will freeze after putting in a new game disc...I have to do a hard reboot to resolve.

    Question regarding 2 Discs and Hard Drive Installation

    I actually had both discs installed until I kept freezing at one loading area. Uninstalled the disc, worked fine after.

    Yes, changing the disc after playing for 20 hours plus was a real pain in the ***.

    Change your power settings to energy saver instead of instant on.

    I don't know, mine has always been in instant on and I'm not suffering this problem.

    Are you turning the previous game off and exiting out of it properly before switching discs? I've heard of just switching discs causing issues.

    Yes, I have been going to the home screen and then "quitting" the game before ejecting its disc....I'll try it again today.
