Freeze at Start-UP

    Freeze at Start-UP


    I have not played COD Ghosts in awhile, when I tried to play today the game freezes up at the 2nd screen. This is the screen with a close up of a guy in a mask and Call of Duty Ghost on the lower right of the screen. I have tried restarting, ejecting the
    disc and unplugging the Xbox one to no avail. Any ideas what I need to do to get this working again?

    XBOX 360 Freezes at Start Up

    A few things to try and get to the Dashboard:



    1. Start up the console while disconnected from Xbox LIVE and/the Internet.



    2. Remove the external harddrive and start up the console.



    * If you get to the dashboard go to System Settings and Clear your System Cache. Then reinstall and/or download the System Update.



    3. If you continue to have this issue call Xbox LIVE and request an RMA even though it's a 1st gen unit and likely out of Warranty. It's possible that the System Update failed in someway.

    XBOX 360 Freezes at Start Up

    I have a first generation XBOX 360. I haven't performed an update for several years. I recently purchased a new game and decided to update the system using the USB port. Now, the console locks up just after the spinning globe appears on the screen. It
    does it in the same place every time. I've tried removing the hard disk with no success. Did the update cause the issue? If so, how can I reload the update? I can't access the dashboard in its current condition. Thanks!

    Mine has done this before. Completely un-plug your Xbox One from its power source and wait a couple minutes. Then plug it back in.

    Darn. Well that would be a real shame if it is the update. I mean, we've gone through nearly everything in your situation to try and fix the problem without any success. The fact that the internal 4gb flash memory is somehow becoming corrupt is just too
    bad. Sorry we were not able to help with this problem. Keep this post up to date with what you find out or if there is a fix you become aware of so others can help themselves.

    I purchased one through Amazon to store additional information. I can provide the serial number if necessary if that will help.

    With or without the HDD attached, I am still getting the same freeze ups.
