Freesync + vrr makes xbox controller have no input! XBOX FIX THIS!

I recently started using FreeSync with vrr, and since then my controller keeps losing input while the controller is still on. It gets pretty annoying since I play ranked on cod nd apex.. Theres a solution but it doesn't help since I only have two options to fix it, 1. remove 120hz or 2. remove vrr.

    :)

Hi and thanks for reaching Microsoft Xbox gamer's community. My name is Josef.
I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft Xbox user like you.

Hope you're doing great today Kyotoeu

Yeah, actually VRR can cause inputs lags it's one of the disadvantages of it.
I heard that usually using wired controller connection can help to reduce it a bit

I think would be better disable VRR instead

    Xbox one s 1440p 120hz problems

    Hi,

This monitor only supports 100Hz over HDMI with FreeSync turned ON (higher via Display Port).

With FreeSync OFF this monitor does support 1440p @ 120Hz as per the Manual and LG support.

    Source: https://www.amd.com/en/products/freesync-monitors

This makes means that with FreeSync ON you will be limited to 60Hz with xbox. Can you try turning off FreeSync via the Monitor and/or untick Variable Refresh Rate on the xbox. Hopefully this makes 120Hz available to you.
I have tried turning freesync off on the monitor side and vrr off on the xbox, still doesn’t allow me to select 1440p@ 120hz.

Hi just got a Samsung odyssey g3 monitor for my Xbox series x should I put freesync premium on

Yes you should, and make sure VRR is enabled in the Xbox display settings.

Freesync Premium is a VRR technology (variable refresh rate). In a nutshell, your displays refresh rate is synced to the frame rate of the game you are playing. This means smoother gameplay and no unsightly screen tearing.
