Am I the only one that thinks the Xbox Live COC and Enforcement is a clear violation of the First Amendment?

Free speech is the the new hate speech! This video is about social media censorship but it's very applicable to xboxlive's approach to punishing us for speaking freely.

I say if I am in a private party chat I shouldn't be able to be reported for communications. I am not the property of microsoft; they work for us not the other way around.

As an merican company they are obligated to protect our freedom of speech... WHAT DID THE SOLDIERS DIE FOR? OUR FREEDOMS? GOOD JOB MICROSOFT; YOU SOILED THE MEMORY OF ALL THE DEAD SOLDIERS... GOOD JOB I KNEW YOU COULD DO IT.

FREEdom of Rewards

In November, I have spent over $60 on World of Tanks through the Xbox store and not directly through the game and have not seen my rewards added to my account. I made sure I specifically made the purchase through the Xbox store and not as a "gold" purchase
through the game. I made a separate $30 purchase of "gold" through the game. I saw that my VIP level increased, but no rewards show up in the My Mission status or deposit to my account. I also completed the December survey and this 250 credit has already been
added.

Xbox live is an online service regulated by rules as every online service. Once you accept the rules of The Code of Conduct (at your own will) when you sign in for xbox live you are bound by these rules in order to use the live service.

You are not the first person to bring this up in these forums and I will give you a lesson on the constitution.

lets look at the first amendment:

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and
to petition the government for a redress of grievances."

So the part we are looking at is CONGRESS shall make no law ABRIDGING the FREEDOM OF SPEECH.

So going by what the constitution says it is ONLY congress that can not make a rule that abridges your freedom of speech it says nothing about a Private company making rules that YOU agree to in order to use their service.

I liken to this.

Microsoft has set up their service to be rated E for everyone.

So if you were to walk into a Chuck E Cheese ( a family oriented business for kids) and decide to start cussing and arguing with people there they are probably going to call the police and you will probably be escorted off the property. Would you at that
point scream that your freedom of speech has been violated? If so the judge would probably laugh at you if you were to bring that up in court. and if you say no why not it would be the same concept whether you are in a private companies building with actual
people or on a private companies server with people.

The Bill of Rights was set up by the original congress to protect the people of the USA from a tyrannical government overreaching their powers.

The Xbox live code of conduct is there to create an environment that is friendly for everyone! Xbox is a very family oriented company! There are many children who play Xbox as well and the code of conduct is set in place to encourage good sportsmanship and

Freedom of speech isn't freedom without consequences

And since forums and the internet is private property freedom of speech doesn't apply it only works on government

As certain celebrities found out freedom of speech isn't without consequences

Sorry but that is not what "freedom of speech" is. I am a huge advocate of Freedom of Speech but I also understand Freedom of Speech does not extent over the Rights of Private Ownership. Xbox LIVE is not Public Land or Public Space.

If you think that you have been banned in error or would like to fight it and you think that you were just in defending yourself, you can always submit a ban review to the Enforcement Team. They maybe able to lift the ban for you if they find that you were
just in your response or unfairly banned.

Follow that link, it should take you to the help page for the enforcement team, if it doesn't and it takes you to the enforcement team homepage, click on "How Do I?" and then click on "Case Review" on the left side of the screen. That will take you through
the steps on how to open a case review. I hope this helps and you are able to get everything squared away!
