by account is active but when I try to play borderlands two or the pre-sequel it keeps putting up a window asking me if I own the game and see the store

PSA: Dark Souls is free on GOLD tomorrow.

From what I hear the free GWG version of Dark Souls for some reason doesn't have ANY patches for it, so it's basically like a old day 1 version of the game when it released. So if you have a disc save and try to play the download version it won't work and
you will have to delete your old save, and you won't be able to play online with anyone using the disc version and vice-versa.

It's the same DLC. It just saves you money because you won't have to purchase them from the marketplace if you purchase the GOTY edition.

And I read your question wrong too. The free versions of the DLC are basically there in case you're trying to play online with someone else who has the Premium DLC. In order to play with them at all you'd have to at least download the free version, but you'd
have to have the Premium version to actually access that part of the DLC.

If you have downloaded the Handsome Collection when it was free to play from October 28 till October 30 you have to purchase the games in order to play them now. The free weekend is over for a while now.

To play this game on PC you need to own the digital version or be signed up for Game Pass.

If you have the game on disc you won't be able to play on PC for free.

Unless stated by the developers that you will receive a free upgrade of the remastered version, I would assume you won't receive a free upgrade. There may be more information about this as the release date of the remastered version gets closer.
