Free vault EA Access doesn't work with a trial gold membership

Doesn't seem to be mentioned anywhere but if you are on trial membership you can't download the vault games from the store during the 'free' period running until the 22nd.

The main issues is I had to work this out myself as the person on xbox support chat was completely clueless about the whole offer. After sending her multiple links to the offer details she still kept insisting I had to pay for EA Access first at $4.99. After
more than a hour of arguing I gave up.

I have the transcript if anyone at Microsoft cares, shocking introduction into the world of Xbox One.

Trial memberships are not proper memberships, and cannot be used for things such as Games with Gold, as well as Vault Games. Only paid Gold Memberships will give you the full features of Gold Membership.

Ok.. however I downloaded this months games with gold on my trial membership so you can see there is much confusion.

You are gold now thats why

Trial cards dont change your status to gold as stated before

Gold membership overrides any previous trials

Fyi the ea trials dont give you access to vault

It gives you temporary access to trials and discounts offered in ea pass

I was on a gold trial as offered when I first setup my xbox one a few days ago

I downloaded games with gold without issue

e3 week you can download and play games from the vault until the 22nd without a ea access subscription

I tired to download one of the games and it didn't work

I paid for a gold subscription it worked

the one month free trial doesn't gives you access to all xbox live features, only a gold membership offers that

When you claim the free trial month with gold from your console it doesn't appears for the trial membership doesn't offers all the perks of a paid gold membership.
