Does the free to play games ever change. Like Spartacus legends its been free to play for quite a while. only had my xbox360 for 2 months i know its an older system no laughing please. just wondering is there like an update or something or is that just the
way things are.

Some games, like Spartacus Legends, are always free. The free games with gold change twice a month. You can follow majornelson.com to find out what's going on sale or what will be free.

 

You get a new free game on the 1st and 16th of every month and you can only download the free game during that span 1-15 and 16-rest of month. After that span, you'll be charged the regular price of the game. It'll usually always show up on the home of the
dashboard so click and check there on the deals and whatnot. The free game available now is Battleblock Theater. You can follow what games will be free by looking on the games with gold thread stickied at the top of this forum or follow Major Nelson on the

The games with gold promotion is basically a reward for having an Xbox Live membership. That's completely separate from your normal pay to win games like Spartacus.

I've seen free to play games change, not sure about an update. A few I've seen are:

Happy Wars. World Series of Poker, World of Tanks, Ascend 2.0 (I think it's called).

The last time I checked, these were still listed.

 

Games like "Spartacus Legends" are Free To Play... Pay To Win.

 

Sometimes they get updates. Happy Wars gets one every couple of weeks seems like. Ascend, not so much. Don't think they updated much since Valentines day. World Of Tanks is supposed to get some kind of update soon too, adding more tanks similar to the PC
version. Spartacus I don't think is getting any updates anytime soon. Maybe a double xp weekend or something here & there. Warface is newer, but I haven't heard about it getting updates either.

 

When more "free to play games" are made, they will be added.

I think a bit more knowledge on gaming could help the OP.

 

Defiance is supposed to be going FTP in the near future. It was supposed to happen on the 15th but got pushed back.

 

Yeah if the game originally comes out as free to play, it stays that way. Games from games for gold stay free the portion of the month but go back to their original price before they were in the free program.

 

Happy Wars changes, and it's free. Watch out for the people with x10 damage than you.

Doritos Crash Course is Free. Get your achievements while you can because they turned Doritos Crash Course 2 off. Harm's Way is also free, and not only do they not update it, they turned off the leaderboards.

Aegis Wings is free.

Many games have demos too.

Note, when you start to dip below the $20 price range, things will get goofy. Sims 3 turned off their market place entry code. Dark Souls 2 you can't get the black armory anymore, etc. Avatar Farm Online is $1, but you can't play it offline ever. Air
Mech, they turn the servers off alot, and it's pretty much pay to win.

But if you consider free is free, you got what you paid for. Just have fun, and move on.

 

There is a free section in the marketplace. They're always free. But need gold subscription. Also the free games with gold monthly.
