Free those freeze Gamertags that nobody are using it.

The gamertag system is in use on other Microsoft services. So even if they are not using an Xbox, the tag could be in use elsewhere. If the original owner does not sign into the account for 5 years (starting last year), the tag will be freed up. Otherwise,
there's no other way to free up the tag.

Talking to support will not resolve the issue of a gamertag in use. It is in use and nobody can free it from the account it is attached to.

Hi, your Gamertag is not offensive that I can see. If you are getting hate, block and file complaints on those doing it to you. You cannot get a free Gamertag change for offensive names anymore, and nobody on the forums here can change it for you.

If you want to change your Gamertag, you must pay the fee to change it.

Those videos are fake. Nobody from MS is giving away free damaged xbox's. And even if they were, nobody from MS reads this forum.

like Springer ATC said, you need to use the "Recover Gamertag" option on the Dashboard with nobody signed in. You need the email and password associated with the account. This process if you have both of those takes approximately 45 seconds.
