    Free sync over hdmi


    I was just wondering if the adaptive free sync for the one x is supposed to already be working or if it’s going to Be supported in a future patch. Have it hooked up to a compatible monitor but the free sync option is grayed out.

    Hey there, you would need to use a monitor that supports free sync natively over HDMI or you can try to use an adapter HDMI to Display port. However, we wouldn't be able to guarantee functionality with an adapter.

    can not find a compatible 4k monitor that supports free-sync with HDMI input to utilize xbox one x

    the xbox one x supports 4K at 60hz via HDMI output.

    It also supports free sync as described on the offical website.

    But i can not really find a compatible 4k monitor to support free-sync via its HDMI input.

    I find a list of free-sync monitor that supports free sycn via HDMI the following link. It is on the AMD official website

    I asked HP , LG and Acer's Sales representative yesterday.

    HP told me that their model does not support free sync via HDMI

    LG does confirm that 27UD69-W can support free-sync via HDMI.

    But the model sold in US is 27UD69P-W. I am not sure what is the difference between them

    Acer has to check with their technical department and reply me with an email.

    So i am wondering currently, there is no 4K monitor to support free-sync via HDMI input to fully utilize xbox one x?

    Hey there, are you sure it supports Free Sync over HDMI? It could be over Display Port. I'd recommend to contact the manufacturer to find out.

    Xbox Series X 1440p Monitor

    I have checked the manual, it says it supports 1440p 120hz over hdmi the only thing it supports over display port is 1440p 165hz. So I will ask again why won't it let me set it manually hdmi then choose 1440p 120hz, but the option is available with auto detect. The monitor also supports VRR and free sync over hdmi.
