    I want my name changed to or allow me to change it. This incident of atuomatic gt change has made me very sad people online are laughing at me and its making me really angry. Why couldent you let the person choose a new gt

    Free name change

    If you created the account on the console - you do not get a free name change.

    If you created it on the website - or were assigned a GT from an exiting Live account, you would get a free name change.

    If you created the account when you were able to select a GT at sign up you are also Unable to change your name for free one time.

    the free name change for system created tags are only good for the first 30 days and only when created on the console.

    As has already been mentioned by Daft Badger, you wont be getting a free name change, live with your current Gamertag or pay for a new one.

    xbox i would switch to ps4 but the only game u have keeping me is gears of war u are by far a awful company who dosent respect the decent players i been bullied into changeing it by horrible online players i hope ur happy.

    i do appoligise but i thought i get a free name change like in the past when xbox dosent like your gt the name change box would pop up it haddent this time and a gt is everything to a profile but u diddnt allow me to change it. Just to give u a tip for
    the future allow the person to choose the name even when they broke the code of conduct as i knew nothing about animals until this morning. If you dont you will see alot more people leave like i am.

    You've had to pay for a tag change if you receive a forced gamertag change for about 3 years now so it's nothing new.

    You are the one who doesn't respect other players or the rules by creating an offensive gamertag & by the sounds of it it's not the first time this has happened.

    Threatening to go to the PS4 will get you nowhere as no one cares if you go or not.If you were going to leave then you wouldn't of bothered to pay for a new name.

    I agree saying PlayStation is better will do nothing on here as no one cares, if you were going to go there you would and not wasted your time paying to change your name

    No it doesn't cost them really anything to do placebo, but without that cost for 1 it gives people more ways to be annoying on live and get away with it. This is the same as with most mmo's for example that offer a name change

    It's greed pure and simple, most people would need to only change the name of their gamertag once or twice so the first two or three should be free, hardly annoying if someone on your Live changes their name two or three times...
